Can someone chime in. Do kr1/kr4 clips fit the D4v2? I know a metal spacer is needed to maintain electrical contact but does it fit the tube and is it retained by the tailcap?

However the clips are as different as possible, one follows the curvature of the body the other one opposes. Since D4v2 is straight not sure if that clip would even be suitable as clip for it, considering the hard curve, I would not take the first clip design as an example of how the deep carry high curve new KR4 clip would fit on a D4v2.
Yes, the new clip is default supplied with KR4, if you prefer the old clip, just send us an email.
The KR1 is still with the old clip by default, you can also send us an email if you have any special request.
D18 is with SST-20 Deep Red 660nm LED.

I doubt it. I think the tailcap is wider on the KR4 than the D4v2.
However, if you really want a slim clip for your D4v2, just use an FW3A clip. That’s what I do. FW3A clips can be made to fit all D4 and D4v2 models with a small amount of effort.

Wow this looks awesome! I can’t decide whether to get the default or the “floody optics”. What are the advantages of floody? Does it depend on how you plan to use the light?

Could you share how you did this? I have a couple extra deep carry fw3a clips… thank you. I’m assuming you cut the ring that wraps the light? I tried putting the fw3a clip on my kr4 before and doesn’t fit at all

Default optics are slightly floody already. They are a good balance between throw and flood, and the beam looks similar to D4V2.
I recommend the default optics.

Me too, that would be cool. To use E21A D18 would need a new E21A-compatible driver.
A warmer D18 with great tint could be built today without a new driver with sliced LH351D 2700K emitters.
