Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

When I was a kid growing up in Sweden, the label on the honeyjar said in large writing, “Authentic Swedish Honey” and in smaller writing, “Made in Hungary”

Hahaha. that is funny.

I had the same: The best dried Hawaiian Mangoes.
but in small font on the back: from the Phillipines..

hahaha

With most things, you have to go to a third party to get fakes, but eneloop makes their own Chinese “JAPAN Technology” fakes.

Have there been any recent comparisons of the Chinese vs Japanese eneloops. (I just buy Ikea Laddas anyway in Australia).

No, not that I know of, unfortunately!

My Japanese website is online, in case you are Japanese or living in Japan :D https://chibim.com/

Still need to add many pages, but will go slowly.

And how low can you go knockoffs:

White Eneloop PRO.. lol.

13.6 euros for 20 batteries.

Thanks to Fabian for sharing.

Could you please send me some pictures of the packaging and of the batteries?

Where did you order from?

They show only 950 mah so not pros.

They look really fake!
That ridge near the positive terminal.and the negative terminal. Where did you buy them?

What do you mean arow55? 950mAh is normal for AAA Pros, but not Minimal, but Typical.

The package should show Up to, or Typ. 950mAh and Min 900mAh / 930mAh depending on the location. 4HCCA should be Min. 900mAh

Should be Min. 930mAh for the BK 4HCD(E) and Typical 950mAh.

Willing to share pictures of your original as well?

I thought all “Japanese” eneloops sold on Chinese sites are fake?

I was thinking AA.

On a different subject wish the light makers would make an AA thrower. I posted something on nitecore Facebook page to make something that uses these smaller leds like Manker MC13 or Acebeam E10. Wouldn’t require a whole lot of power 4AA should do it. Guess I will continue to ask till someone brings out something for us who don’t use lithium cells. Seems all the innovation goes into lithium but most folks don’t use them in the general population.

MoreLumens, I think those are fake as well. All AAA eneloops have a naked 'behind' there should be a 1mm edge without a wrapper.

Like in this picture: https://www.bazaargadgets.com/image/catalog//products/lights/flashlight/4pcsEneloopBK-4HCCA4CAAA800mAhRechargeableBattery-SKUspanitemprop194422-descriptionImage4.jpg

Besides that, the 950Min is not correct, and the BK 4CCA is for the American market, and the rest of the wrapper shows EU, and that combination is incorrect....
They seemed to have mixed up quite a few things, lol.

Okay, I hope the battery still performs well. curious to know how much capacity it has

So, the higher priced fakes are better?

Well…beneath the plastic wrapper is a metal tube, and physically it should hold up just fine.
But I think the entire casing of the battery is the negative terminal, so you’d have to be mindful of anything metal causing a short.

I also don't know why they do that. It's not so hard.

But it might be something that they can't get sued for. If they do a 1 on 1 copy, they might get sued :)

Just guessing
