Emitter technical name is CSLNM1, not CSLMN1 fellows.
Concerning driving current, as you approach peak output the gains with the increase in current get smaller and smaller, until they dissapear or even turn into losses. Thus, with all the above variables given it is wise to settle for a 75 or 80% of the peak output driving current, that way above 90% of the peak output is still attained and emitter stress reduces considerably.
I guess it may depend on the type of payment you are using . Once I tried using virtual credit card and couldn’t do it, so I needed to use PayPal to place the order.
Once you add the payment method click on “place order” but don’t advance for payment, and abandon that “screen”. After Simon adjusts the value, you can go back to the order placed and choose another payment method (as I didn’t want to use PP, I added a virtual card for single use) or the same.
In your store the cslnm1 comes bare or on mcpcb, what diameters are available for the mcpcb? I need to measure mine but just seeing if you have options.
Also, can you sell board mcpcb only for the CULPM1? 4040 footprint that is. Thank you!
This is what a user of AliExpress outside of China can choose right now as payment methods:
AliExpress removed the other payment methods from their international website sometime ago. As far as I am aware the only option is to use an old version of the AliExpress application, 8.4.0 or earlier to be more precise (you can download it in Uptodown.com, for example). Warning: the app checks for updates on startup, and records the amount of times it has moaned about updating; it eventually refuses to work without updating if you allow it to keep checking, so it is best to disconnect from the internet just before opening the app, and reconnect to internet once the app is about 10s launched (to dismiss the app update check).
With an old version of the application (8.4.0 and earlier) it is possible to select “other payment methods”.
Hard workaround to make an order work! If you order many small items from Simon the shipping costs for each item get totaled and skyrocket even though they will all go in one small package. I ended up for now ordering the same items elsewhere on aliexpress with free shipping until there is a way to work around this. It shouldn't be so difficult just to order something.
Sorry to know that it didn’t work :zipper_mouth_face: It is a sometimes weird site/app.
I normally use the app instead of the site, so I don’t know if there are differences.
I hope you manage to get it done in a next time and that you receive your stuff now
Yes, this is something I was also aware long ago. In Simon's shop any and all items feature “built in” shipping cost, this means the basic shipping cost is included in the price of the first unit of whatever thing. If this were a very small amount, this could work, but it is not a small amount and so it doesn't works.
The solution is to set the shipping cost independently, so the actual item value is reflected in its price. Allow the shipping cost to add afterwards. Many AliExpress sellers do it this way, and it works. As sellers, you are fully responsible for both the costs of items and the cost of shipping and handling. After all, what the buyer sees is the total to be paid, this is what counts.
That's the thing, shipping is not cheap for minor items and when you order so many different little items together, it just isn't worth it. I always prefer to order from Simon as he is a good guy, always helpful and knowledgeable, but it would be nice if he could make it easier to adjust the shipping.
