Headlamp/headlight recommendations wanted

oh thats a no brainer then, 5% of like 32 bucks is like $1.60, for a battery, and sofirn batteries are solid too.

It looks like the 20% off model is new for 2020 (part# 2020101602) as opposed to the 15% off one (part# H1). Their website also states “[2020 Latest] WUBEN H1 1200 Lumens Rechargeable Waterproof LED Headlamp” when buying directly from them so I assume there’s a difference. What it is I have no idea :stuck_out_tongue:

I would have thought that the older model have the bigger discount but that’s not the case.

Wait theres an older version of the h1??

Although only the 15% off has a pic of the cell and cable, in the text description, both the 15% off and 20% off say they come with the cell and cable.

… but if you want to have really hi cri - warm white - efficient - stabilized mode - light weight (<50g ) headlamp you have to DIY . There is no cheap solution on market. Aspiration Zebralight or better ( i do not know better, except few custom builds like H04 with E21A) ;))

I've changed my mind about the Lumintop HL3A.

The brightest model is only about 500 lumens over any significant length of time, according to this review:

https://zeroair.org/2020/03/18/lumintop-hl3a-flashlight-review/

(The "2800 lumens" doesn't last very long at all.)

The Wuben H1 keeps on looking better for my needs.

It's only about 500 lumens as well, but somewhat cheaper (on American Amazon.)

Wuben H1 have no warm led, if you dont need warm led you can just get D10 for 10$ ;))

(Sorry, but I cannot quote your post properly for some reason...)

I don't care about high CRI.

EDIT:

I am not sure if I want a 5700K headlamp.

(I didn't realize that was cool white.)

Looks good, but for few dollars more you can get H04

I cannot find a lumens runtime graph for the H04 XM-L2, which comes in neutral white.

For about the same price, I can get the Lumintop HL3A, which I can find a lumens runtime graph for, which also comes in neutral white.

I'd rather have warm white, but I might have to settle.

h04 run time

its not that impressive, i think it depends on how much you need. if you need consistent 450-500lm ish, then wuben is the way to go, however, if you’re ok with maybe 200-300lm, then sp40 is much better

The sp40 may be the only headlight available with 3000k (shipped from china). No moonlight but a simple UI and micro USB. Can’t keep the clip on while in the headlight strap and that applies to most headlights. The Wowtac a2s is a strong contender at 30 bucks. I think the Armytek pro series including the brand new C2 has got to be the best all around headlight and with the clip on the tail end you can keep it on in the head strap. The UI sounds impossible when you read it but once you’ve done it a few times it’s very simple. We don’t know for sure that the new one is high CRI but it likely is. “Warm” and “white” labels/options. 3 moonlights, 3 turbos, 3 in the middle. 3500mah high drain battery. Magnetic charging, magnetic base. Wide smooth beam pattern. Plus other things that you don’t get in others. I don’t know what more you could ask for.

Sir, you comparing hi-cri with crap-cri ? What is Osram P6? I cant find data sheet for it even.

RC says that CRI doesn’t matter for this application. And some of us can’t tell 70 CRI apart from 95 CRI (myself included).

Why must we care about cri all the time? Im not colour blind, i know what its supposed to be, i aint trying to paint in the dark, just need to see what things are where

Thanks for the great advice! I just went on Acebeam’s site and saw the H60 FULL SPECTRUM HEADLAMP:

“ Acebeam H60 utilizes the new SunLike TRI-R technology for high CRI (>97) and TLCL ratings with spectral distribution as close to the sunlight as possible”

Ha those are crazy looking. Daddy want

goddamn those spider eyes…

I bet at some point someone will have a LEP headlamp. Like the Acebeam W30 flashlight

that would be pretty dope…
