[Available again! - BLF special edition light] new Sofirn AAA twisty high CRI 5mm LED

I ordered two 5mm 670nm C01 from sofirnlight
I have order confirmation

I do not expect shipping confirmation until after 11/11/2020

I was excited about this at first—especially given the price—but then I was trying to figure at what the c01 5mm succeeds that the C01S doesn’t. Both are cri 95. The C01S (L-H) has low mode but also has the added versatility of a high mode, and it’s only 3bucks more. I also hate to pay 3usd shipping on a 4usd light.

Someone talk me into it.

Not sure how, it has something to do with simplicity and robustness, if those are most important to you, buy the C01. The C01S is pretty robust too, but having more moving parts, there is a bit more that can go wrong.
For me, what also counts is that thanks to rngwn I have a small collection of 5mm leds with great CCT’s and under BBL tints that I can swap into the C01, those are not easy found in 3535-size leds.

Floody beam on the C01, rather than throwy on the C01s. Warmer color temperature, and in my experience, better overall tint. Also better efficiency, I think, but I haven’t tried a controlled comparison.

I’m not worried about talking you into it. It appeals to some people, but not everyone. Personally, I really like the C01.

Fair enough. I’m convinced.

Anyone found some kind of comparison “C01 with 670nm RED” vs “C01S RED 660nm?

Free shipping for orders over $21.

Has this been solved somehow?

After reading your post I was waiting for Sofirn to contact me, but that didn’t happen.

> Has this been solved somehow?

yes
I requested and received a refund for all my pending orders

I then reordered two C01 5mm Red 670nm.

I did not reorder the C01R, even though I like the 3 modes, because I already have one, and I decided the C01 single mode Red would make a simpler gift for a muggle.

The application is for red light therapy, for migraine and menstrual pain. The beam artifacts dont matter for that. And the single mode will ensure the battery has long life.

Clever :+1:

Update

the big boss told me there will not be a next batch of C01 5mm led lights in the future, because the cost is too high by adding expenses of labour

The price of $3.99 (free shipping on orders above $21) is the best I can strive for you guys.

Some of you may hate the $2.99 shipping fee, I hate it too, but it can NOT even cover the real cost if you buy only one.

It’s the best I can offer.

That’s a very good price, thanks for it :+1:

Thanks for all the work you put into this, Barry!
It’s too bad they decided that selling the C01 wasn’t sustainable…

I think its more of a number issue than a decision that they chose to make…

Thanks so much Barry! I bought enough to get free shipping. $4 is outstanding.

Hi there,

Quick question: The photo of the LED pack of the Sophia 3400Ks on the SOFIRN page said „7-8 lumen“. So could we expect an upgrade in the output? And is the Sophia as stable/efficient as the Yuji?

Sorry for the basic questions. This is my first post :innocent: .

It is a screaming good deal Barry! Thank you for all that you did with this light, it is a niche light and I feel happy to be able to get several. The 670nm red was just icing on the cake!

Oops wrong tbread…

C’mon folks just think of it as a $6.98 light with free shipping, with quantity discounts starting at just 2 lights ($5.49/light. etc.) if that helps.

Thanks Barry.

BTW, when’s the Sofirn AA 5-mm coming
