Freeme, do you know if the parasitic drain, the previous FT02 was know for was fixed? Also how does the beam compare to the EC03 SST40? According to specs it is supposed to have more throw than EC03 SST40, is there any chance of beamshot comparison?
Also, do you know if the driver is the same as in EC03 or something completely different?

I have the same questions… the beamshot in the first post seems strange. Hotspot with a dark ring around it and another bright ring around that.

  1. No one has the light right now but they claimed low parasitic drain this round.
  2. I will post when my samples arrive later.
  3. Based on manufacturer's specs 639m(FT02S) vs 485m (EC03).
  4. Different driver.

Interested… Might wait for the XHP50.2 model and slice the domes. I think output will be similar between both LEDs and you will be limited by the battery you use.

4x XHP50.2 in that host? That’ll get super heated in no time. The FT03 XHP50.2 could only handle 2 min max with one of them.
