Can i get a coupon code for this please
That why it mean a lot to create triple SST40 as such EC03 is perfect host, even upcoming FT02S with Quad SST40, is to jump-up the lumen output and in getting bigger hotspot, though not bigger as the xhp50.2 but in near close comparison.
Done.
Can i get a coupon code for this please
I have been looking for the beamshot picture of the SST40 5000K on EC01. Thank you for sharing.

SST-40 versions should really have an SMO reflector - the LED is more for throw and the LED has little to no beam tint shift, so SMO is the way to go.
XHP50.2's beam has some ugliness to it, so OP is preferably bettery. Ok, I can't rhyme...

Shouldn't be that long.

Does anyone know what’s the current draw with SST-40 emitter? Thanks.
Also one suggestion to Astrolux - a dual switch setup with a simple on/off flat tail switch (there’s plenty of space there) with a side switch for mode adjustments would be much easier to use than than too complicated, “one million clicks” Anduril UI.

I disagree, this flashlight is not a thrower and if you want one - search for something else. SST-40 makes beam profile less floody and more balanced but it’s still not a thrower, just a good all rounder. Also SST-40 emitter is the only way for people who don’t want a very cold white light (6500-7000K) of the XHP50 emitter.
I disagree - don't add a tailswitch - waste of length, adds resistance, and Anduril is smart about LVP and monitors voltage with the e-switch off (used to be a problem with Narsil, etc.).

Are you familiar with the Sofirn C8 lights?
I do but only the C8F has a side switch and accepts 21700 cells. Thing is - it’s noticeably bigger than EC01, it also has 3 heavily driven emitters with much shorter runtime.

Length difference would be negligible but it would vastly simplify the UI from PITa to something intuitive, not distracting and annoying. Added resistance depends on the switch quality. Speaking of the resistance - pushing everything to the max is pointless, Astrolux lights are usually battery killers that loose 50% of brightness in less than a minute with abysmal regulation/runtime graph. What’s the point?

Sofirn C8G is single emitter side + tail switch version.
It’s one step larger, cool white only and it’s a thrower with over double peak hotspot intensity.

Bump?

Actually the opposite, dual switch is more complicated. It performs the same actions with additional need to rotate the flashlight between buttons, or perform a complex dual-hand action. In some conditions either of that can be risky.

However XHP50 is more suitable as an all rounder than SST40.
Just ordered a green SST40 5000K. Thanks freeme!

Now to stock up on some more 21700’s… hmm.
