I read and watched numerous reviews of the ft03s before buying it and worried about buying it because of all the reported issues… now that I have it :
It is my favorite light in its size
The beam seems totally fine
The step down is normal
There are rings on the outside of beam that can be seen inside but I barely see them outside, and furthermore don’t see how slight rings matter all that much.
I can’t tell what people report as reflector issues, although I guess it would be these rings.
I guess it’s all personal perspective and standards of beam quality. I love mine, there is a ring on the far outside. I’ll post a picture if possible.
Absolutely not, well my aluminum one does not that I received a month ago. I mean I’ve set anduril steps (I don’t use ramp on this light). But I haven’t even set the thermal guidelines for it like you would with anduril and mine doesn’t step down that fast. I mean it does get hot within 1-2 minutes and steps down in that range but so do all of my small to mid lights. I could probably set thermals to elongate turbo but it’s more then adequate @ 1-2 minutes for me

Sick of this shit. Same thing happened to the green xhp50 ft03 and ft03s i ordered in feb and march.
No shipment on copper ft03s… but at least my estimated ship date has stayed the same unlike the EC03 Green sst40 which BG just pushes from 11/25 to now 12/7… hey, it’s the small things that provide happiness when playing the waiting game.
I don’t know about many other large companies, but I used to be a manager for a large retailer and a lot of things that happen “in the system” I.e. on a company’s auto computer management like processing orders, etc., do not notify even the employees when a snag is hit with an order (for instance payment issue). But the part they do have control over is a coupon, they should honor the price seeing that you placed your original order in the appropriate time frame while using the appropriate coupon code. My 2 cents
