anyone got the Dewalt 5,000 lumen DCL074 work light?

this thing is a beast. apparently it’s been out for 2 years already. it uses dewalt 20v batteries which is either 18650 or 21700 cells inside. IP54 rating which is mediocre. 3 modes. low, medium, high.

Yeah, it’s a beast when it comes to weight and dimensions. But for the same price you could get 10 times more efficient flashlight here. There are limits and there is physics. Indeed, contrary to Hollywood movies. So IMHO, BLF is pushing LEDs and power to the limits. I would not expect (with all due respect) Dewalt could invent anything more efficient than ‘brainers’ at BLF. Sorry - it’s just marketing, that claims Dewalt is superb. I don’t buy their shit, neither their tools (i just consider Dewalt to be budget tools seller, oh well, maybe one shelf higher than the lowest). Buy one of SBT-90.2 flashlight, or multiple XHP70 one, and report to us, what’s your impression. If you prove Dewalt 5,000 lumen DCL074 work light is worth its price, I’ll buy one and compare to other flashlights of mine. Why not to start with the pictures comparing the Dewalt graal to others?
(sorry for my negating tone, but I’ve been tricked too many times by “big brands” selling Chinese cheap crap, just spicing it with the aggressive marketing slogans).

Gauntlet thrown.

How can you compare a flashlight to an 18V work light? I got all kinds of flashlight but a decent work light is just sublime in some case. there aren’t to many if any flashlight that hold therir max output due to heat. You’ll never get the runtime in a flashlight as a decent work light will offer. Worklights offer many advantages over flashlights in some situations just like flashlights offer advantages in other situations over worklights.

Ok, respect your point of view. I’m just allergic to Dewalt.
