SOLD!

congratulations!

I think it is a version with strobe too (based on the direction of the writing)… winner in every way :+1:

congratulations!

I think it might have strobe too,
(Eye10 driver as in your 2019 model) :+1:

note: on the bottom light, the RRT-01 label, reads left to right when bezel is on the left:

I think, when bezel is to the left, if lettering is right side up, yes strobe

please confirm, if convenient

I can't directly confirm, as it's packed up and ready to go out in the mail. But a 2014 user review on Amazon contains this information (I got mine in 2012, but I don't know when any change was implemented by the manufacturer or what production run the reviewer's light came from):

I bought two Jet Beam flashlights the JETBeam RRT01 and the JETBeam PC10. I was going to decide which one I wanted to keep the cheaper one or the more expensive. Both lights are very good and I was impressed by the quality so I decided to keep them both. Even the packaging is professional with manuals everything you need and comes in a little space efficient box. Jet Beam lights are very good quality, there isn’t anything cheap or frustrating about them that I found. They are waterproof and submersible, for use in pools or diving. The JETBeam RRT01 has all functions and even more then listed in previous reviews. I tried the light with CR123 and RCR123 batteries you do get more lumens from the RCR battery, but all functions with both batteries. The on switch is a rotating dial around the light, which gives off gradual amounts of light. The light can be very minimal similar to a very low glow which you can barely see even in the dark to a very bright light. I found the lumens ratings are accurate. I have a 900 lumens light and this one is very similar. The users manual says it does have a “hidden” SOS mode. To get to the SOS mode you twist the on switch 3 times making the light go into SOS mode. You can also choose your brightness for SOS mode, very minimal or full power. I found the light also has a Strobe mode, which none of the reviews or users manual mentions. To get to Strobe mode you twist the on switch 3 times making slight minimal twists. The SOS mode is large more liberal twists. Maybe these can get confusing to people so the manufacturer doesn’t mention it. I found all functions work with both batteries, however you do get more lumens from the RCR123 Batteries. I use the Nitecore RCR123 rechargeable batteries; they have 3.2 volts instead of the 3.0 volts like most RCR123 batteries.

thanks for that quote, suggesting by 2014 the RRT-01 had strobe at three quick rotations, and SOS at three slow rotations

I have a light with that driver, it is an Eye10 TiC… it actually gives strobe at 2 quick rotations also

there seem to be several variations

the strobe function is at 2 quick rotations on my “2012” RRT-01 as well, as in my Niteye Eye10 aluminium version.

my impression is that as new models came out on the Eye10 series, those drivers also went into the RRT-01 lights, over time…

even up to the 2019 RRT-01, the drivers are still marked Eye10

Thanks Jon,
It will make a great Christmas gift to replace my son’s 12 year old JetBeam Jet II IBS. And perhaps keep him from constantly attempting to ” borrow ” mine.
