Astrolux-branded chargers and their equivalents?

I notice BG has posted several new "Astrolux" branded chargers. I thought I've seen some of the designs when I was browsing the Internet before, so I made a deeper search for which model they match.

1) Astrolux SC01 = 2A-only charger for Li-Ion only

equivalent = Yonii TC1 (seems to be exactly the same)

next close equivalent : Yonii Y2 (this appears to be similar charger but with micro-USB port instead of type-C port)

2) Astrolux MC01 = 0.5A/1A/2A charger for Li-Ion & NiMh (NiMh only 0.5A), with powerbank function

equivalent = Yonii Q1 Plus (appears to be exactly the same)

next close equivalent = Yonii Q1 (similar to above, but without the powerbank function) - this model has been reviewed by HKJ before

3) Astrolux VC04= 0.5A/1A/2A charger for Li-Ion & NIMh, 4-bay, (NiMh is only 0.5A) ; micro-USB/type-C/lightning input

equivalent = Yonii D4S (appears to be exactly the same)

next close equivalent = Yonii D4 (similar to the above, except has micro-USB input only)

(side comment: the LCD display segment for the AC04/D4S/D4 has a display for "mOhms" (when starting up the display, which shows up), but the mOhms display is not actually used by this charger, maybe this is in case they make a new model that actually shows mOhms display).

4) Astrolux AC04 = 4-bay charger for Li-Ion & NiMh, outlet-powered

equivalent = Yonii D4 Plus (seems to be similar ; I was able to find only 1 reference of the Yonii D4 Plus from my web search...)

i dont care about the rebranding, but how is the quality of yonii though? if its good then im ok with it

That’s the problem — since there are still few users of these new Astrolux chargers, there are almost no feedbacks about them yet.

As for Yonii, there seem to be few feedbacks too. The Yonii Q1 charger was reviewed by HKJ at the request of member Barkuti. I also tested that charger - and it had an issue - no proper termination.

I have noticed that the Eizfan NC1, which is a rebranded Yonii C1 (I’ve checked out both these chargers too — they appear to be the same charger, if I remove the sticker of the Eizfan NC1, it will read “Yonii C1” underneath. The Yonii C1 has not been reviewed, but the Eizfan NC1 was reviewed by HKJ, and also has the same issue: no proper termination.

I’m currently trying out the Astrolux VC04 and test using it — it appears to terminate charging (at least I think it does… based on the USB meter reading, there is a distinct drop in current when reaching end of charge). For the above mentioned chargers that have “no termination”, the USB meter power consumption will just continue to decrease to very little charge current but there doesn’t seem to be a sudden ‘drop-off’ —- these are just my non-professional observations — I do not have advanced testing equipment, although I have several USB meters around for quick checking the power consumption of the USB-powered charger. (I understand that the USB side, may not exactly correspond to the battery side power consumption… but hoping it does give a bit of info.)

hm…it does sound somewhat unreliable, but it is dirt cheap after all, so if the quality is worth the price point then thats a win in my books, u get what u pay for

Ordered an SC01 via the flash sale!

No proper termination = big no no!

Astrolux SC01 arrived. Charge started at 3.81V and I stopped it at 4.20V around 1 hour 45 minutes later where it was charging at around 50mA. Full charge indicator came on before it got to 200mA. Measured with RD UM25C.

EDIT: I discharged the Vapcell S30 18650 again to 4.14V and charged it for longer. It started at 500mA and gradually dropped to 7mA. I took the cell out and it was 4.22V. I guess this isn’t conclusive because I’m measuring the input to the charger…
