$800 flashlights stolen!!!

Where's ChicagoX when you need him? :glasses:

It probably was a surefire that cost $300. But, do you guys realize how expensive shipping to our military in the middle east is? From what I remember, it costs $18 to transport a $4 gallon of gas during peace to Iraq. Costs $42 a gallon to send it further in. And can cost around $600 to send it in to a hostile environment...IT'S RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE! Cost several hundred thousand dollars to transport a humvee to iraq also...

So, that may be the reason the flashlight was so expensive

very Pinoy my good sir!

Thank you, thank you, thank you... Wink

I think that is the answer. It really is a $300 flashlight, but it cost $500 to ship it to the country in question. That makes it an $800 light!! Wink

Ganyan talaga tayong mga pinoy.

my bad edited my post...

I'm past wondering what the 800 flashlight is. Now I'm wondering how I can sell some flashlights to the military :-P

Wait, you are 70+, still working, do a lot of sports and turn into the black hulk when someone puts hands on your bikes? Dayum you remind me of my grandpa! :P

Temptation with all the spiffy toys.

400 dollar for a 50-lumen flashlight, that is 8 dollar per lumen...

It seems just a bit overpriced to me.

May I ask since how many years she has to handle your.. specialness?

those are better lumens though..much snobbier than any lumens we have :p

Yep, this practice is nothing new.

Shame on you, you copied my "badteeth grin"... Wink

:D PM answered :)

It says, $800 flashlights were recovered. Sounds to me like the flashlights were $800 each, not totalling $800. Doesn't say how many though, but at almost a grand a pop, it would seem like something worth putting up along with NGVs and rifles.
