UPDATE

Just going to cancel this due to lacking communication from Neal. I have gotten busy in my personal life and have not been on here much anyway. My apologies for this letdown, hope you all still enjoy other lights.

-Several weeks ago, Neal from Nealsgadgets.com and I were messaging about new lights. Neal had already decided to remake the BLF A6 (Classic BLF 18650) with raw copper and raw brass. The lights got to me a few weeks ago, and life gets in the way, so I am just now getting around to this.

This will be an interest list for a group buy on these lights.

There are no new driver updates for this, it will have the standard 7mode/4mode driver, with the reversing UI on the button press.

Lit tailcap, and a black button cover also included if you are not a fan of lit tailcaps.

LED options will be updated somewhat. Standard XPL in CW and NW as are available now. SST-20 in 4000K 95 CRI, SST-20 in 5000K and 6500K non high CRI

If there is any interest in 2700-3000K lights, let me know and I will pass it on to Neal, no guarantees he will be able to source them however.

Nice idea this. Might be tempted by a brass one (SST-20 4000k).

Shame about the tailcap switch though. I HATE the ones that light up. And covering it with a black cover isn’t really an answer IMO.

Would have been nice to see something like an XHP50/SST-40 in there too.

I like the idea and the price is good, but it is not the ultimate light for me to want in copper or brass. I think sticking to the BLF-A6 driver is a good idea, still one of the nicest trouble-free drivers around with still a fine user interface.

I only hope that they did their job fine-tuning the bleeder- and tail-led resistors so that the user interface is not disrupted and the parasitic drain is not too much.

Single SST-20 and FET driver doesn’t sound like a good match… Or maybe there’s different type of driver for SST?
