Well……I was just informed as a dealer for Mateminco that this model is still 30 days from being available. That’s ready from the factory, not from Banggood
Which battery would you recommend for the SST-40 version? For maximum run-time at reasonable output. I was thinking about the 4000 mAh 35A 21700 Samsung 40T. But would a 20A 26650 be enough too if one doesn’t care about maximum output? I was looking at a 5300 mAh 20A 26650 Vapcell.
I’m sorry, but no. The SST40 version of this light will draw much more then 3A, I’m guessing well over 20A on turbo. I’d look for batteries with 25A CDR or more for maximum output. Samsung 30T, 40T, Molicel P42A, Golisi S35, the Vapcell gold 4000mah 30A (rewraped 40T), Xtar INR21700 (P42A rewrap) are the ones I can think of. I ordered the XHP50.2 version and will use the Molicel and Xtar 21700’s for experimenting and showing off and the Liitokala Lii-50A 26650 for regular use. It’s good to about 20A (not 50A).
I’d recommend getting your battery output figures from online tests and reviews and not the battery’s label or sellers claims as almost all are overrated by their manufacturer/distributors.
The PLB 26650 that Sofirn stocks is very decent. Continuous discharge is 10A but I ran a 20A test and it performed incredibly well. Last test graph on sofirnlight.com is mine.
Thanks for the info. I’ll most likely go with one Samsung 40T and one Vapcell G53 (5300 mAh 20A 26650) for more run-time.
It’s unfortunate that we have to wait over a month for the orders to be shipped out. I don’t mind waiting and I’ve waited as long as a month and a half in the past. But I didn’t know it would be that long. I figured they already started the manufacturing and assembly process.
This is normal for Banggood. Everyone who orders from Banggood needs to know that they cannot trust Banggoods claims that any product is in stock, when it will be in stock, when it will ship, that it has shipped, or when it will arrive.
There are many posts on this forum about Banggoods sales tactics and lack of ethics. They have popular products and good prices, but are absolutely not a reliable vendor.
