Wurkkos WK01 SST20 4000K AAA forward clicky with Low, Medium and High modes.

WK01 SST20 4000K arrived today! I ordered it from the Sofirn Official store on AE.

I like the WK01 more than my i3T because of the 4000K tint and smaller size.

Are the drivers for WK01 and WK02 different?

Gonna say yes drivers are different,
Got the WK01 and tried to put the head on a Sofirn PF04, Thorfire PF04 and will not work, head is shorter, threads different depth.
I know people will say “just make a contact ring” but that would not be a good idea as I did put a LifePo 10440 in the WK01 and the modes just do not change and it really did not get much brighter so higher voltage is probably going to kill the driver with no gain, no upside.

Flashlight really works well at the recommended voltage though and the tint is awesome! Could probably get away with primary lithium AAA which is usually around 1.75-1.80 volts and may see some increase in output.

Do wish it had mode memory, always starts on moon. Sometimes I need it to start on high like in daylight use under car hood etc.

Thanks! This gave me the courage to try an INR10440 at 4.2V in the WK01.

I found it difficult to get it to switch mode from Low to Medium and High while using a 10440. It looked like it was stuck on Medium.

I had to rapidly momentarily press the button forward to change from Low to Medium and High and then click it in. If I tried to slowly click between modes it remained in Low.

The beam looks nice on high with a 10440. It seems slightly brighter than an i3T on High with a 10440.

10440 Low is like AAA Medium
10440 Medium looks 30% brighter than AAA High
10440 High is looks 30% brighter than 10440 Medium

Wurkkos WK01 SST20 4000K vs Olight i3T

If you run it on High with a regular AAA for a minute, that’s about how hot it gets when running it on High with a 10440 after a few seconds. I wouldn’t recommend using a 10440. Something might burn out…

Would the 3V2 indicate that it supports 3.2V and that the WK01 and WK02 may be using the same driver? Cool

@Wurkkos: Thanks for not using red loctite! It’s much easier to play around with the flashlight.

Update:

New promo codes for Amazon US, see updated OP.

Just in case, should you have problems with the codes:

Sometimes it needs some hours before the actual promotion becomes active. So, please try again a bit later if it's not working already. Wink

Bought four FC11 in 4000k and 5000k versions and I am pretty happy with these flashlights.

Now I want to upgrade my EDC kit(s) with 2 or 3 WK01. Is there any chance to get a discount code for amazon.de?

Danke!

I will ask but that's one of those questions only Wurkkos can answer. Would Amazon US be an option for you? I suppose it would add quite some shipping cost, right?

Ahh, found out why. The code works together with the 5% coupon on Amazon. WK02 is 13,49 Euro with the extra 5%.

Thanks a lot! So, I will update the OP again since it is unforeseeable if Amazon will keep available those 5% extra discount.
