No acknowledgement of the problem nor apology. Sure it’s not going to affect my life too greatly but I’m sharing it here so people can consider it in their purchasing decisions.
Living in Australia I have a choice when I purchase a torch. I can buy it from a local retailer (though there’s not too many around) and get quick delivery from local stock with warranty protected by Australian consumer law.
Or I can buy from a chinese website with all the variables that this transaction entails.
The difference in price is significant - local is double ex China.
You get what you pay for. Sofirn is GREAT value for my $$.

I ordered an LT1 via Amazon Australia on the 29th of October with a code from ozbargain. There was no stock in Australia so it was shipped from China. It arrived on the 6th of November. 4 clear business days. 9 days if you count weekends, public holiday etc.

What were the circumstances of your problem ?
& your communications with what company ?

The whole family loves the lt1. The other night we had a guest and put him in my youngest daughter’s room. We put her on a cot in a spare room with the LT1 as her bedside light… and she was happy as could be. Yes, a 10 year old can operate an anduril lantern.
Back to the question of colors (sorry). Why do I have a choice of 6 anodized colors in a sofirn CO1S, but can only get an LT1 in black?
Having trouble buying the “anodizing factory problem” story.
The original problem was explained a few posts above - *BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020) - #11369 by haawb - but subsequent posts did make that harder to follow, I realize.
Short version: I ordered from Aliexpress with the shipping from US option at higher shipping charge for faster delivery, they shipped from China anyway. Tried to resolve it with their customer service but they don’t even acknowledge there’s a problem.
My 5-year-old loves her Anduril lights (including the LT1). The UI is clearly more intuitive for beginners than I originally assumed.
My 5 year old daughter has no trouble operating anduril lights as well! These people that cry and have trouble operating anduril don’t even have the smarts of a 5 year old!
I agree…… Sofirn has not always been open with the ‘real’ truth of what is actually going on …… actually it was the inspiration for the ‘LT1 on a stick’ sketch. Im sure they are aware how many folks are holding off buying multiple lanterns until colors are available. Im betting once they feel they have sold all the black ones they can…… then the colors will magically appear……

By the way … can someone confirm me if the base tube (containing the 4x18650) of the BLF LT1 is compatible with the BLF Q8 ?
The head of my BLF Q8 (first batch, Thorfire) does not screw into the tube of my BLF LT1 (rev 5.0).
But the head of my BLF LT1 screws (and works perfectly) onto the tube of my BLF Q8.
Our LT1 did the exact same thing.
I emailed Sofirn but they never replied, so we just sent it back to Amazon (Prime).
I have the sofirn Q8 and the BLF LT1 and they fit each other normally 
Thanks for the confirmation … so i think, if i summarize, that, as there are two flavors of the Q8 (initial BLF Q8 and then the Sofirn Q8 version) :
- The initial BLF Q8 is not 100% compatible, as stated by @Unloco
(indeed, i tend to like to have compatible stuff)

I contacted Sofirn on AliExpress.
They sent out another SP40 Green.
Then they received the first SP40 from customs and sent another one.
I received two SP40’s. Feeling a bit sheepish. Thanks for the awesome customer service Sofirn.
