This will be my first SBT90.2 so mine is going to be used and knowing me will probably be abused somewhat. I always end up dropping them or at least knock them off the table onto the floor. Or have it wedged under a 4 ft. mower deck as I slide it across a rough cement floor. That totally beat up a FT03 but now it is the best looking light I have. It made me feel bad at the time but now I love the look.
I totally understand leaving it in the box. Many, if not most people, have all kinds of things they collect that never leave their boxes. Some people do it for investments especially on limited editions and others just enjoy having a classy item like your Copper FT03. I fall into the second category with the stuff I leave in boxes. Usually I have one that I use and a second one that stays new.
Btw, my usps tracking has not changed status yet. Anyone in US have their usps tracking change since shipment? I miss the old tracking of BG where you could see it’s movement before it left county of origin.

It seems for USA that BG ships to a location where items are repacked and then sent (which is where the huge wait can come from)
Do these shipments go direct to customer in other countries or is it the same way?
yea, its usually the customs department at both countries. things can get tied up badly there. That process has not changed, just BG changed how they share tracking with us. 3-4 months ago you used to be able to view tracking from BG’s CA warehouse to CA (or wherever it shipped form) customs @ airport. BG doesn’t share that Int’l tracking anymore. Maybe it costs extra for that tracking or maybe there shipping partners changed the way they share tracking. who knows, not a big deal, just makes for a nail biting wait. lol (not really).
I have droped my ft03s few times on concrete after receving it 2 days ago …loll now it got few dents on the bezel and its very hard to screw and unscrew the bezel.
Looking for SS bezel now for ft03s any help.

Mon. Dec. 7 the FT03s SBT90.2 has arrived. It looks great and seems to work fine. You instantly notice the difference in weight. With a 5500mah Vapcell it weighs 30.65 oz. compared to 14.06 oz. for an aluminum FT03 SST40. It will need to get dark here before I can actually give it a good check out. It does look extremely nice in the daylight.
Soo… mine hasn’t shown up. Said it was on track to and supposed to be received by 9pm, but doesn’t say “out for delivery” on the usps tracking site either. Hopefully tomorrow. Arrgghhhh! As long as it’s not lost in usps oblivion I’ll be OK .
On an unexpected note - my ec03 green body with sst40 came in today! So that’s awesome! Wierd though that I ordered that and cu sbt90 ft03 in same order, and the ec03 shipped the day after my ft03’cu sbt90 but ec03 came in first… confused and sad… kindve… lol.
UPDATE - 12/8 @ 10:40am - its still sitting in NY according to usps tracking. USPS has at least acknowledged it will be late, so i’m thinking if i am lucky i’ll see it by Friday. but i’m never lucky, so we will see.
