Not being familiar with this light but also with 21700 batteries, can someone tell me which would be a good cell for this light, please?
I’ve read about Samsung 40T, Molicel P42A, Vapcell T50. Is any of this good? Or other options should be considered?

I bought 40t’s as well. I had started my 21700 battery collection with Molicel p42’s because at the time 40t’s were out of stock, and after buying and using 40t’s in a couple of my high powered lights (FW21 Pro, MF01mini) i observed a noticeable difference in performance. Now its only 40t or 30t

I’ve had the sst40 for a couple of days now, and WOW. What a fantastic light. I gave the xhp50 as a gift 3 months ago and now regret it because it seems like it’ll never restock, but that was great too. But the throw and output on the sst40 is awesome. Visually loooks like the same Lumen as my mf01 mini, but throws further. Both running on 40t. The green body is beautifully done, and the size is great. Just a perfect all around light. Wish I got the 5000k, but I got the 6500k thinking I would dedome it for better throw, but now I Don’t want to touch it lol. I will probably get the 5000k sst40 if the xhp50 isn’t restocked soon (I understand demand has been high and mfg isn’t keeping up). As a side note, I compared this to the fw21 pro and this is a clear winner. I mean I know the xhp should be brighter but it doesn’t seem so visually, and the throw on this ec03 is so much better. It defiantly makes these two lights seem much less comparable then I thought the were before. Also the fw21 pro is much smaller.

I am also waiting for a restock of the “5000k” xhp50.2, hopefully freeme can get a better version of that LED soon. Do you think you can a comparison of the runtime-vs-output graph on both the SST40 and the XHP50.2 versions? I am more curious on the sustained output over longer periods than that intial 30secs blast. Thanks.
I would love to do that but I don’t have the xhp50 version, I bought it and gifted it the same week back in September. Now I’m Really wishing I would’ve gave that dude my ft03 xhp50 instead! Lol. Easy to replace the ft03 with xhp50. Not the ec03 with xhp50…

Here some pics of EC03 Green, and a couple of it compared to FT03 mini Green for color comparison.
it is beautiful. EC03 has a faint metallic something, the color is just really nice. i like the color more then any other green light i have. the ft03 green is rather dark.

Very happy with the color on my green ec03 as well. In the dark it could be mistaken for black.
The tint of sst40 5k is very nice as well.
I did a tailcap bypass on my xhp50 version but never tested the ‘before’ output.
With the new version it made it easy to swap them.
XHP50 picked up 20% output
SST40 +15%
Ceiling bounce tests, also in comparison the XHP50 version puts out 20% more than the SST40 version
