Can somebody hellp me. After month I cant get in utility mode anymore normaly? Everything else is working fine but from off 3 clicks or 2 clicks hold just exits the off mode and I have to click one more to turn light on. Try reseting few times same thing (dont have the tools to flash it)
I manage to enter sometimes after maxing the light lvl then turning off on for like 10 minutes doing crazy combos, but this is not solution and even when I enter its somewhat broken not blinkin right and cant set temp. Any fix for this?
Wow you’ve convinced me I’m going to order a 4000 and as you said, can always get another (:
I do love the 2000K. I’m sitting on the couch right now reason a book and that soft yellow light is so relaxing. In fact I’d love to get a D18 in 2000 and must keep it as a portable house lamp
I have one of these on the way, and I was wondering how it might run on a lifepo4 as I have a few of these idling in a drawer. Short runtime is the most obvious issue. Has anyone tried this.
You have some slim chance to use them, but mostly only at low to mid levels. This is very emitter type dependent. If there would be D4SV2 with a few lower forward voltage emitter options, it could be even fully useful, but for some emitter types, you will only just get past they being lit up.
I don’t know, what is the power cutoff limit on low voltage, but I guess, it should run until it gets below 2.8-2.9V - which means, you will need to know your battery model, because I have seen IFR (LiFePo4) batteries running near 3.2V most of the time only when current draw is low. When current draw gets higher, they can run anywhere lower in the 2.0-3.1V range, but the voltage will be nearly flat during most of the discharge time. You might want to look up your battery here as well for more info (Battery test-review 26650 comparator).
Thanks Adam, I see an A123 can be discharged at up to 30 amps so it seems heat might might need to watched too. I look forward to testing it. Hope it arrives before xmas.
My 2 D4SV2’s arrived today – one deep red and the other SST20 4000K 95CRI. The deep red is awesome and I was pleasantly surprised with the softness of the 4000K.
Using 26350’s on both as well as my 6500K. Works great
