What blade did you EDC today?

Mine arrived 2 wheeks ago, i got the Yellow version
After ajusting the pivot a little and 2 days of use it became very smooth indeed.
I think it might become one of my top 10 favorite figit knives :sunglasses:

Recon 1 from Ali:

Cold Steel might be now the most counterfeited knife brand after Spyderco….

Benchmade is up there toooo.

Hard to tell the difference when they even steal the trademark/logo….until you try the warranty.

Ali…

I always edc 2 lights and 2 blades. https://imgur.com/MMOy4uR

I am fortunate to always edc 2 arms and 2 legs. But only 1 light and 1 blade for me….

And how is the quality? Normally I always advise better to buy from recognized brands of the style than what I show on my blog and channel: sanrenmu, kubey, harnds and that.

What worries me is the tri-ad-lock, which is what I like the most about cold steel, along with its designs of course.

Regards!.

The overall fit & finish is at the same level as my original Talwar. The action is very smooth and the blade is centered but it has a slight vertical blade-play. All in all I’m quite happy with it.

Vertical blade-play is a shame, one of the best thing of cold steel knives is the tri-ad-lock and is shocking a “cold steel” with blade play.

I already had to learn to live with that since all of my original lock-back FRN Spydercos have that slight vertical blade movement.

CJRB Ria with AR-RPM9 blade steel, and micarta scales.

I do not have any spyderco but… that’s incredible due to the quality of that brand :open_mouth:

I have only two lock backs and both without vertical play, one of them is sanrenmu.

One of the best things about cold steel is its tri ad lock, if we take that away we will have its attractive designs, but I don’t know, it is not the same without the security of its locking system. But cold steel prices in Europe are brutal.

Yes, for example ~ $220 for a Recon 1 is quite steep. I’m curious whether changing of CS’s ownership will have any effect on this pricing.

Modding in the knife category is pricey!
I picked up a Spyderco ParaMilitary 2 with a Maxamet blade. The grey scales were too ugly! So I found some Putman sculpted G10 scales and Titanium hardware from ebay, Ti back-spacer and pocket clip, now it looks as sharp as it cuts but man does this stuff add up!

Sanrenmu 7315-GP linerless slipjoint, with reversible clip for us poor lefties :+1:

Today my little SRM 7228. Reviewed on my blog and youtube channel:

Review: Chinese Knives: Review SRM 7228

My Cudeman bushcraft n695 not just today every day. Who’s got time to open a knife must be a city thing.

This post just cost me $150 :frowning: Went looking for a good pic of my knife as I have never taken one of it and purchased another Cudeman.
His little bother.
!!

Thanks
