New Fireflies T1R Mini Thrower-- Release date 25th Jan

Specs in OP say: High efficient 3.6 Degree TRI Optics; Up to 138cd/LM

I assume typo: TRI should be TIR. Maybe it's like the E01 optic, but I see the E01 is spec'd at 6 degree TIR.

The head diam of this mini light is wider than the E01: 36 mm vs. 34 mm

I NEED IT!!!

Are you referring to Acebeam E10, which uses the same optic as the Manker MC13? I don’t see an E01 thrower. Specs on the FF mini thrower is superior to that of the E10 and the light looks much smaller. I’ll see how it compares when I get it.

Looks awesome i’m interested

Interested.

Has there been more info on price/availability? Seems there has been no updates.

Based on the info in the op.

1. This needs a deep carry pocket clip option
2. The switch needs to be suitably designed (recessed) to avoid accidental activation when in your pocket

E01: https://www.ff-light.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=58, 34 mmm diam head

I’m VERY interested in this. Small TIR thrower with cc driver and aux LEDs? Yes, please!

Oh yea I forgot about that light. This optic is going to be waaaayyyy better than the E01 optic. The E01 optic creates a lot of artifacts. The beam on this new light looks much cleaner and more focused.

Interesting... I assume you are judging the beam from the posted vid? It does look pretty good compared to my E01. I flashed the E01 with Anduril2

So between an improved optic and better throwy LED, should do wayy better than an E01 - I measured 32 kcd on the stock E01 on a 30T cell, which is probably close to blowing/blueing a SST-40.

Yea judging from the video. The E01 was the only FF light that I didn’t like. This light however looks amazing

That’s quite large if this head is similiar to the ec01. I wish they made this light the same size as the nano gt but with the 16340 cell.

We’re talking about the E01 not EC01

I make fast comparison with T1R (left) and GT nano (right)

Led: same CULNM1TG
Lumens: 1000 vs 450
Candelas: 125000 vs 23400
Thorow: 700m vs 300m
Battery: 22430/18350 vs 10180
UI: Anduril 2 vs Narsil
Size: 79 x 37 x 26.5mm vs 24 x 52.5mm (head size much bigger)
Dirver: 6A buck vs 2.5A TA FET
Charging: 2A USBC vs (no detail but can charge)
Weight: 78g vs 17g

The gt nano is much smaller but T1R should last much longer and brighter.

This light is much closer in size to the GT Micro. Micro is 36 mm head x 105 mm length.

Wouldn’t a 16340 cell offer completely rubbiush runtimes though. So much so that it would make a high output or long distance light pointless with such a power plant.

Jack confirmed this light will be released next week. Also that the T1R will be available in Red, Green, Blue and black anodized color options.

I wasn’t too excited about this light at first, but seeing the size of the T9R, now I want to see it’s price to see it’s it’s worth being my first mini-thrower. Hopefully it’s in the KR1 price-range so it becomes a no-brainer.

Update: 2021/1/17

Fireflies T1R pocket thrower will be ready for sale on 25th.

I am happy to finally see some production pictures and I like the green but I think the red and blue are a bit too ‘bright’! May I know what it is the cost? I like the size and I think it is ideal match for small led with small flashlight. You have interesting battery choice of 22430 but unfortunately it is uncommon to buy. The optic look like a special double reflection optic, can you please share more information? Very interested to see some review soon!

Price range?
Thank you

Could not figure out yet, if I actually need these, but they are lovely to look at (TIR optic is also a big plus).
