wow yes i just looked now, looks like u cant order it any color… strange ? why not atleast have 1 color in stock all time… demand is there? idont understand his decisions sometimes… just because new models come out needs retire older models maybe ?
cyan seems to be the most popular color always solds out first….
I am very happy that I got mine, not green. White. W2.
Turn on 4,020 lumens and 429 meters throw from this size flashlight is a thrill. I guess I should latch onto two more, while supplies last.
No; and it gets hot real quick. I use it on turbo just for a few seconds to illuminate an area and quickly identify points of interest, and then I throttle back to normal modes.
With WF2s the D4S hits 630m+ of throw. Throw is very roughly emitter die area:reflector/optics diameter and I’d say the D4S hangs with C8s in that regard. Think of it this way, each die of a XHP50.2 is basically an XP-G3, and you have to push one almost as hard as the D4S runs at max to get any significant throw.
Here’s a very good comparison of the D4S, GT Mini Pro, etc.
I have been waiting since april ( i got into this hobby, technically high output lights, in january) to see the D4sv2 in green again. I have a gray sst20, almost bought the w2 recently as i have the d4v2 w2 from hank and its awesome, and the d4sv2 is still one of my favorite lights. i have meailed hank a couple times about bringing back the green body d4sv2, and he said it wouldnt happen. im shocked to see the above comments that it is coming back.
It is sad… I have seen enough interest on BLF for it to seem worthwhile for him to bring back the colors for D4s V2… unless he is planning something else to fill that spot. I would be happy either way
well i would hope he wouldn’t ONLY release a copper version lol. Im hoping for green ano really, not in my budget right now to pay the extra for copper. that is usually my biggest reason for not buying copper. anyway, we will see…
