EMISAR D4SV2

It seems sold out. Anyone know why? New model coming out? Or just crazy popular?

I believe it is out of stock. Someone on another forum stated they emailed Hank about the Green Body and he replied it should be available at the end of next month (December).

Edit. https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/kf97ev/d4sv2_finally_gone_y...

Edit: There is conficting info on the D4Sv2 availability. The listing on his page is still there so maybe we will see it again. I am regretting not buying one sooner as hoping for a restock is a lousy feeling.

I have asked Hank numerous times and he says not. Seems quite odd to me.
I asked again when he got the d4v2 back in cyan, but again , no. Shame.

I am very happy that I got mine, not green. White. W2.
Turn on 4,020 lumens and 429 meters throw from this size flashlight is a thrill. I guess I should latch onto two more, while supplies last.

Because I like big lights, my flashlightical views lean heavily toward both the extreme bright and the extreme heft.

Did you have any other d4s before with different led? Sst20 got hot really quick and I was wondering about w2

No; and it gets hot real quick.  I use it on turbo just for a few seconds to illuminate an area and quickly identify points of interest, and then I throttle back to normal modes.

I think d4s is pefect light but a single big dye led with reflector has much range and better thermal performance(c8 type).

With WF2s the D4S hits 630m+ of throw. Throw is very roughly emitter die area:reflector/optics diameter and I’d say the D4S hangs with C8s in that regard. Think of it this way, each die of a XHP50.2 is basically an XP-G3, and you have to push one almost as hard as the D4S runs at max to get any significant throw.

Here’s a very good comparison of the D4S, GT Mini Pro, etc.

I have been waiting since april ( i got into this hobby, technically high output lights, in january) to see the D4sv2 in green again. I have a gray sst20, almost bought the w2 recently as i have the d4v2 w2 from hank and its awesome, and the d4sv2 is still one of my favorite lights. i have meailed hank a couple times about bringing back the green body d4sv2, and he said it wouldnt happen. im shocked to see the above comments that it is coming back.

I emailed Hank on Dec 6 asking about the cyan and he said, “ The cyan D4S V2 will be back by next month.”

It is sad.. I have seen enough interest on BLF for it to seem worthwhile for him to bring back the colors for D4s V2.. unless he is planning something else to fill that spot. I would be happy either way Big Smile

I was perfectly fine with the Emisar Gray, a very good body color – but I would also welcome Green.

I would love a single led / reflector d4sv2.. I’ll take one with an sbt90. Why not?

Had been saving to pull the trigger on D4V2 with Nichia 219C, but it’s not available for months. I had contacted Hank and he said it (Nichia 219C) was discontinued.

Do you know what the best battery for the d4sv2 is . Is it flattop or button. Is even a button top 26650. Thanks
