- what exotic fish I caught in the ocean of music -

I had most of the iron maiden records in my collection, also saw them on the monsters of rock tour along with other big bands.
My last concert was Ozzy Osbourne in Copenhagen way back in the late 80ties.

I listened to a classic with Frank Zappa yesterday, or rather 2 of them, bobby brown and dont eat the yellow snow.

I regret i never saw a Jean Michel Jarre concert back in the old days, but back then i was stupid and much locked into heavy rock only

We also covered quite a few iron maiden tracks when we jammed our asses off in the youth centers music room, i have lost many many liters of sweat behind the drums there.

An invigorating song by Cars. To start of the day…
At least for us it was like that.

The Cars-“Hello Again” (Live) (1985)

Okay seem like i am not exotic enough here, so allow me to drop a savage rose in your ears.

This Danish band as i recall have been putting out records before i was born in 1966, and they turned down a major US record deal as that would have meant they would have been sent to Vietnam to entertain the troops.
And Savage rose do not play wars.

Hi Sparky,

Really thanks a lot for your presence on this topic.

I apologize if I’m not responsive enough, but as you can see the topic is coming to an end due to lack of interest …

Thank you for the performances you have shown, especially from Denmark. I learned something new …

Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin - Je t’aime… moi non plus 1969

Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow - 1983

Good thread. My favorite rock and pop is all 1960’s and 70’s. Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of Mahavishnu Orchestra, Tower of Power, and The Soft Machine, speaking of that time period.

Supertramp - Give A Little Bit (Live) 1983

Nothing wrong with supertramp, their double live Paris album are one of my all time favorite live albums.

Unforgettable *The Carpenters. Karen and Richard…

Deep Purple - Machine Head

One of the best for its time and so far…

Today marks ten years since Gary Moore left us at the age of 58 in his sleep.

With Phil Lynott, perhaps with his last record in 1985.
Out In The Fields - Run For Cover (1985)

Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues

Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray reincarnated.

I’m currently losing my mind over Nick Johnston. Just his first three notes of this song tell an entire novel.

This is the second best thing I found on the internet after BLFhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MQ-SC9bmp4

Yesterday, a lady we all know had a birthday.
She is one of the pillars of music in our hearts.

Of course I mean Diana Ross.

“Upside Down” - Michael Jackson at Diana Ross Concert (1980)

From demo tape. Far better than retail if you ask me.

One of the most listened to songs and bands when I was a teenager.
Nothing has changed now - Uriah Heep remain one of the pillars of the rock.

Uriah Heep - Sunrise

As one might say - the David Byron years (1969–1976) and the magnificent Uriah Heep.

In this song:
David Byron — Lead vocals
Mick Box — Guitar
Lee Kerslake — Drumsyears
Gary Thain — Bass guitar
Ken Hensley — Keyboards
