Non-Flashlight Things You Enjoyed Doing Today

Corona Time

Worked on this old clamp and vise I got for $15. They are usable again. I always forget to take before pictures but they were really rough.

Took this just now, snow arrived last night just in time for Christmas.

That’s more like it

Yes, still warmer than usual but you can't bet against Winter in Canada. BTW, those wood boxes you make look really nice, I like them!

I went to get a tattoo . Got two large letter M’s one on each butt cheek .

When I bend over , it says MOM !

Fishin’.

I went for a bike ride with a buddy.

That night, I drove out of town with my wife to see Jupiter and Saturn.

My wife, cycling, and photography. That’s a pretty good day.

I used my BLF Q8, and my Sofirn IF25A while we were out in the boonies stargazing.

wrapped Christmas presents.
not very well, either.

I made a box. A wood box. I spred this out over about two weeks with lots of time waiting for glue to dry.

No stains were used, those are the colors of the woods. Approx 11” x 7” x 3-1/2” high. The inner irregular octagon boxes are cedar. The main box woods are pupleheart (guess which  ) the orange stuff is padauk, the narroe pale strips are Peroba Rosa and the brown is something I have had so long I no longer have a clue what it is. It is NOT walnut; that is about all I am sure of with it. As can be seen it will be used to hold my wallet and vehicle keys. The flashlight being used will also find a home in there.

That is a phenomenal looking box. I bet folks would pay a handsome price for a box like that. I know one would look great on the table next to my door.

I did nothing quite that nice. I just built some bunny enclosures in the barn with my daughter for what is apparently going to be my daughters new bunny venture. This was not was not something the wife chose to run by me first. Not that I minded, it’s not often I get my 15 year old daughter to do anything with me anymore. So I guess I am the lucky one.

installed our new clothes dryer.
i did not “enjoy” it, but i like
it better than our old one.

MtnDon beautiful work!
Today I enjoyed listening to the cold rain outside while I was inside.

Probly my favorite thing to do is ride the bike.

Not my artwork, I just thought it was a cool find

This water is cold when there are not ice formations dipping in it.

Galaxy S10s are NOT actually waterproof (at leas mine isn’t). The cameras on both sides ended up with water in them. After about a 2 second dip 10 inches below the surface of the water when I jumped in.

Those are actually from Valentines weekend, and not from today. I rode today, but didn’t take a single picture.

MtnDon, your first picture gives me a great idea!

Vroom!

Lovely work there Don, you should make some of those chopping boards, they are all the rage at the moment and fetch a good price - maybe fund your flashlight hobby entirely! If I lived there I’d have one straight off you!

Off road riding is where it is at. Had the best time before I ever got a license. Road riding bored me so I quit bikes shortly after I became ” legal “.

I guess I could say I “enjoyed” doing this…

Need to go shopping, wanted to clean out the fridge of perishables before they’d, well, perish, so had carrots and celery left over. Kinda boring to eat plain, so figured chicken soup sounds good… only no chicken in the house. But I got chicken bouillon, though!

Made the broth, tossed in the organical baby carrots (sliced lengthwise if too thick), cut up the celery on a diagonal to get fancy, and hey, lookit this, an open box of spaghetti but no sauce, so now it’s chicken-noodle soup instead.

Came out quite good. Ate it with a fork, too. Stab the solids, twirl the noodles, slurp the liquid. If I used a spoon I’d probably end up wearing it more than eating it.

For maybe 5min prep time, and a coupla commercial-breaks worth of boiling away unattended, it was fast and easy for some gooooooood eatin’.

me ride bikey!

It is great country for dirt bikes!
