Do anyone know if it is the same for emisar flashlight? This is big benefit for blf members!
I am very excited for this new flashlight. It looks like fireflies making some interesting new products
The 12 led remind me of the Fireflies E12R with 12 leds, but it look like E12R is smaller and also use 21700 battery. Maybe Fireflies can consider making version with two channel also? It is good to have competition!
Do anyone who have recently ordered this light get some shipping confirmation, tracking number, etc?
Ordered mine 07.12.2020, got some kind of confirmation email on 11.12.2020, and that’s it. Nothing. So I wonder, maybe someone have received some tracking number? What should I expect next?
I don’t recall FF sending confirmation emails ever. I ordered a bunch of new FF lights at the beginning of this month but have not received any updates. Honestly I don’t expect them to ship until sometime in January. With the pandemic, it’s been hard to get emitters among other components. Also I rather they spend more time to get it right instead of rushing out the order. Normally I forget what flashlights I ordered until I receive them. I love the feeling of being surprised by the delivery.
I didn’t receive the email and I ordered multiple lights. No problem as I’ve ordered multiple times from FF and always [edit] arrive safely . So seems like both E12R and the Noctigon K9.3 will be shipping on the exact same date. Funny since both lights are 12x emitter with 21700. What a coincidence. I ordered both so let’s see which arrives first.
Hmm ROT66G2 is has 15deg optics, E07 25deg and E12R is 30deg? Will we see this new driver in the ROT66G2? I prefer its beam profile, IMO just the right balance of throw/flood. Or is there a more narrow optic for E12R available?
Currently the best available SST-20 choice is at 4000K (95CRI). Too bad, that Luminus still doe not manufacture 95CRI emitters above 4000K in any of their SST emitters.
As FireFlies has good access to Nichia LEDs, I would recommend them to consider 5700K Nichia 219C - currently the best cool white high CRI 3.5mm×3.5mm LED. However, 219C Nichias cannot take as much power as Samsung LH351D (at most 4A vs. definitely above 5A), so the second best cool/neutral white option is LH351D 5000K 90CRI.
