Do you happen to have info on the UI, though? Oddly I’m striking out on finding a decent write up on it.

FourSevens Quark Smart QSL-X, any link for the software download?

Well, thank you very much, buck91. It's the same model shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0H-5fT42Fs

Its UI (below) is pulled from here: https://www.knifecenter.com/item/FSQPAAE/FOURSEVENS-Quark-Pro-AA-Gen-2-Cool-White-LED-Flashlight-132-Max-Lumens

One thing I realized I overlooked mentioning is that this model has the common issue of a slight preflash when turning it on in moonlight (loosened bezel), so I'd understand if you change your mind.

"Operating your Quark Pro AA is simple. Make sure its batteries are inserted with the positive side (+) toward the head. Ensure the bezel (the 'head' of the light) and tailcap are tightened, then depress the tailcap button fully so that it 'clicks' and the light turns on.

The two most commonly used modes are Max and Moonlight, the highest and lowest modes. To access Max, you simply tighten the bezel. To access Moonlight, you just loosen the bezel a half-turn. That's it.

You can also cycle through the Quark's other modes just as easily. Lightly depress the button momentarily (you don't need to 'click' it off) and the output will switch to the next mode. The mode sequence is determined by whether the bezel is tightened or loosened:

Loosened Bezel: Moonlight -> Low -> Medium -> High -> SOS -> Beacon

Tightened Bezel: Max -> Strobe

Once the Quark has been turned off for at least three seconds, it will revert to the first level of output in the sequence, either Moonlight or Max.

I never downloaded the software, but it is Apple and referenced here: FOURSEVENS Smart Flashlights - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download

Thanks, I figured it was something like that but I just couldn’t find it. I’m still in, PM in bound;)

I’ll take the 2 fenix e01’s and
ThruNite Green Ti ($6 $5
Streamlight Stylus Pro with Green LED ($5 $3
NiteCore HB02 Headband ($5 $4

All sold items have been shipped, so I thank you all for helping give these items new homes.

Now, just the Smart QSL-X remains for sale. Who wants to complete their 2020 with this neat light?

I’ll take the Quark Smart QSL-X for $19 if no one has taken it.

JermsMalibu, it’s yours! Thank you for the payment.

All lights and accessories have been sold, so thank you again to everyone! I love this community. :+1:

safe arrival of the Nitecore D20, thank you Very Much!

I unscrewed the tail ring a couple of turns, and now the light turns off and on normaly, with the head tight.

The LED is quite nice too
very happy with it

.

also confirm receipt of the Carrot Peeler… LOL

its a real Icon… of flashlight history, cool white, low cri, two modes, plastic lens, PWM, and all

weve come a long way baby…

Got my package. the lights were practically new. everything was perfect. The headband wasn’t a totally perfect fit for my hc50 but it will work in a pinch. Thanks!

Excellent, Jonathan! Thank you for the update.

I did unscrew the D20’s tail ring enough at one point to allow the light to function as expected, but I didn’t like the ring being loose. I’m glad it works well for you, and I’m thrilled to hear the tint is better than expected, given your high-CRI preference.

I’m glad the Icon will also get used for a culinary purpose!

Enjoy, and thank you again for giving the torches a new home.

You are welcome, David! Thank you for the update. Enjoy!

I had a similar concern,.

Then checked, and found the pill could be tightened down deeper.

That let me retighten the tail ring a bit more, while still letting the light work to turn off normally.

Im guessing the pill had unscrewed simply from the battery friction when changing batteries. And I learned the tailring can not be tightened down fully, or the light wont turn off.

both the tail ring and pill were relatively easy to rotate, Ive chosen not to change that yet. Because Im preserving the option to swap the LED.

Ive become more tolerant of differences lately. Im even appreciating the cool white carrot grater, simply for its histerical significance…

I envision myself in full ninja mode, ready to flash and dash, the SureFire way…

you have brought many smiles into my world, thank you for your generosity in sharing these lights with me

Jonathan, I’m glad you were able to finagle the D20 more to enable it to work more per its intended design.

I’m also thrilled about having had the opportunity to contribute to your happiness via all the lights.

Looking forward to pics of any “full ninja mode” moments!
