FireflyLite E12R 12*emitters 15000LM 1x21700 Flashlight

Indeed sir, a bit disappointed, but glad they are working to get it right.

Hmm. To cancel and order something else or wait it out?

Just got that e-mail as well :frowning:
I just wish I would have gotten a tracking number for the T9R

I didn’t receive the email and I ordered multiple lights. No problem as I’ve ordered multiple times from FF and always [edit] arrive safely . So seems like both E12R and the Noctigon K9.3 will be shipping on the exact same date. Funny since both lights are 12x emitter with 21700. What a coincidence. I ordered both so let’s see which arrives first.

Ordered both as well.

I was thinking it was kind of weird they both came out with very similar light at the same time too. Either way they will both be awesome.

Exited to see what gets here first.

If the light can really sustain the claimed lumens (from the published chart), that’ll be impressive! Looking forward to reading some reviews.

I did.

Hmm ROT66G2 is has 15deg optics, E07 25deg and E12R is 30deg? Will we see this new driver in the ROT66G2? I prefer its beam profile, IMO just the right balance of throw/flood. Or is there a more narrow optic for E12R available?

Currently the best available SST-20 choice is at 4000K (95CRI). Too bad, that Luminus still doe not manufacture 95CRI emitters above 4000K in any of their SST emitters.

As FireFlies has good access to Nichia LEDs, I would recommend them to consider 5700K Nichia 219C - currently the best cool white high CRI 3.5mm×3.5mm LED. However, 219C Nichias cannot take as much power as Samsung LH351D (at most 4A vs. definitely above 5A), so the second best cool/neutral white option is LH351D 5000K 90CRI.

Oh and wait

This would be nice to see in a FireFlies flashlight:

I would call that FireFlies E12R Plus

(Notice the bigger 67mm diameter head of the lens - probably much better throw ability)

EDIT:
I just found bexamous’s question:

This specific LEDiL Sandra optic would need a complete head redesign, but is one of the narrowest beam TIRs.

@FireFlies I would love XPL-HI 4000 or 5000K, can you make like with E07?

The more I read on this thread the more I am considering this light. I was pretty much 100% convinced when I first saw this light come up that I didn’t need it nor want it. Now that I think I’m certain Hanks k9.3 isn’t a light for me (though I’m a huge fan of Hanks work and have numerous lights of his), I think this fireflies light is for me. I don’t even completely understand how beneficial the driver is (tho some of the members have been good in educating me) but I see the 1200 lumens for 2.8 hours?! That’s incredible!

Just… which emitter? I can only buy one, and I’m going to have to sell a prized light of mine to get it…

Oh wow this optic would be sweet but not sure if there will be enough demand to justify making a new head for this.

I think Jack mentioned that the E12R would be shipped around January 15th? I bought one (w/ 219B SW45k led’s) around the beginning of December and wanted to see if any of you received any updates on shipping, etc.? I didn’t receive any information yet.

I see on fireflies facebook page that they posted a photo of new host body for flashlights! It look like a brush but I think it is holder for many flashlight body for anodising.

The interesting thing is that there are blue and red colors. I wonder if this is for E12R flashlight?

Kinda looks like T1R and T9R bodies.

These would be E07 gen2. I was emailing fireflies about another E07 and Jack said E07 gen2 is coming out next week, black, navy blue and red color for choice.

Edit: WOops, these are T1R, not E07

I was asking Jack about the T1R and he also said it would be coming out next week and would also be available in Red, Blue, Green and Black. I guess these could be any one of those…

I really LOVE Fireflies clear/polished ano, I was hoping the T1R would come that way based on the initial pictures but he didn’t mention that was gonna be an option.

I received my T9R and NOV-Mu yesterday. The NOV-Mu puts out over 4400 lumens in turbo measuring with my TA tube which is impressive for E21A. The NOV-Mu can sustain 1000 lumens for a pretty good long while, and the built in charging seems to work with USB PD just fine, magnet is nice and strong. The two T9R are nice also, though some imperfections in the reflectors, maybe I will see if Jack can sell some reflectors. He said E12R start shipping Monday.

Please could you share some pictures of the T9R, how about the size?
