NlightD T90 (SBT90.2) Beam shots

Hi all,

Not much time for reviews these days, but I thought I could at least offer up some beam shots. Happy New Year everyone

I miss your reviews! Some of the best IMO. Thanks, God bless, and Happy New Year!

The focusing looks weird. The beam looks like it narrows down then gets large. Well defined hotspot edge though.

Indeed, focus isnt good, its collimating and diverging (hourglass shape) definitely out of focus.

Neal’s site says it’s 6500LMs which is a blatant lie lmao. Also, like everyone said, they did not get the beam right. (and the light isn’t even cheap, ~100$ after discount coupon)

Thanks for the review.I noticed that funky and defective beam.An average person would have a hard enough time getting a response…yet alone another light!

I had one bad experience with him…so have many others.I would never order from him again.

Love the functional deep fins but don’t like these drivers that drop down to 500 lumens after half a minute of turbo. So inefficient and wasteful. I’m going to buy anymore of these cheap linear driver lights. Looking forward to the Fireflies T9R and hope more people will realize the benefits of having efficient buck/regulated drivers.

That T9R? The specs are all over the place - nothing makes sense. There's no way 6 amps does 1500 lumens on a Boost HL?? And no way 6 amps does 4800 on a SBT90.2. This could be why 3 months ago they said it was 2 weeks away, and seems the same now. I hope they get it right and can get good performance out of a nice regulated buck driver, but also hope they update the specs accordingly. Unless you know something they failed to correct in their thread, nothing makes sense of what's claimed and I could only assume this is what is causing the delays.

6A is the regulated top of ramp. Turbo is direct drive.

Andreas those are great shots, thanks for sharing.

K30GT wins

Whoa… at 7:35 or so, I thought you were gonna run over a lizard or something.

Surprised that the “hourglass” beam still cuts a pretty tight crisp hotspot like that.

Not impressed with the throttling after, like, 10sec, though. That’s definitely gotta be tweaked without letting the SBT desolder itself from the board.

That NlightD looks like a nicely done flashlight…except for that overly deep reflector.
I don’t know why are deep reflectors so popular nowadays.
