New Fireflylite T9R STB90.2 / Osram 1x21700 Thrower Preview

ok, thanks, good explanation. Did not know that.

I am anxious to see beam shots of 1.1 and how well it is tuned-in

anyone get one yet???i wanted too see the beam profiles before i resort too the k1…

Nope not yet.

That was my dilemma about a 2 months ago. I couldn’t wait no longer and purchased the k1. But I also purchased this light about 2 weeks ago as well. I’ll report back as soon as I get it

My order shipped yesterday and I just received tracking.

Would the T9R work using an SST20 LED? I think one in 4000K 95CRI would be awesome!

When did you order the flashlight? What led did you choose?

I still waiting for some news about my order on December 13th.

Fireflies T9R single 21700 Thrower

  • Emitter type: Luminous STB90.2

Thanks for your answer. You ordered it 6 days before me. I hope they soon send me mine. In my case, I chose the Osram CULNM1

Cool. I have the slower shipping method, so; it may take a while.

Anybody received one yet… photos?

Look forward to your results!
FF from my examples have been high quality with good value. Hiccups happen.

That would be a nice option to get with the newest FireFlies efficient driver. SST-20 4000K 95CRI is the nicest thrower emitter anyone can get currently (3500K would be also a very good choice).

Also, 3500K is a very good choice for E21A (to be used in NOV-MU).

Fireflies T49R, very curious to see what this is!

T9R but a quad? :open_mouth:

If you look at their naming scheme, T = thrower

I’m thinking the same thing, Quad Thrower.
Hopefully will be compact.

Never knew Fireflies (Firefly?) had a second website.

Some quick measurements using 30t on all three lights. All three lights have the sbt90. From left to right. T9r, ft03s, k1vn90.
Brightness doing simple ceiling bounce at turn on:
T9r- 730 lux
Ft03s- 730 lux
K1vn90- 850 lux

Throw measurements 25 feet away:
T9r- 478
Ft03s- 546
K1vn90- 655

This is not a review. Just my quick take on the light. I haven’t played with the light yet. But so far so good. I like that it doesn’t look like your typical flashlight. The head looks strange how it tapers off smoothly until it reaches the body. The tail cap thread was really dry but fireflies did include a small tube of lube. Finish seems well, no sharp edges. Fits well in hand. And weight distribution is fairly even. I’m still unsure about the switch. It’s kinda hard to explain. There’s not much travel on the switch being you don’t need to press down to far to activate it. And there is barely a audible sound when pressing the switch. But because of the short travel, the switch takes a bit of pressure to press down. Not hard at all, but just different. You guys will see what I mean once your light arrives. Or maybe someone can better explain this.
