FREEME ✌ ASTROLUX EA01 SST40 (2300lm)/ XHP50.2 (3500lm) TIR 26650/ 26350 Flashlight Group Buy - ALIVE!

Allright, there is still the quad SST20 4000K version on my radar, which could still pack a punch, but with little extra spill.

I looked around for unprotected 26350 batteries a couple of months ago for a Fitorch P25. The best one I could find is the generic blue one that is widely available and rated at 6A (some sellers claim 10A). The Vapecell 26350 appears to be the same battery.

Ooops, type. 26350. I got 2x flat and 2x BT from Vapcell. Arrived today. Seems the flat top are raised enough to touch in series so BT unnecessary. Will be testing stumpy L6 later.

EA01 has been with courier for 48 hours - not sure what they doing, need it here now!

Interesting that they mention not to use 21700 cell as it might damage the light… Also the SST20 version is not listed there, but thanks anyway. Perhaps we just have to wait a little more

I received the EA01 today. The 5000K SST-40 version. I measure 1925 lumen on a 26650 battery at 30 seconds so the led is driven well.

I like the beam from this TIR: good size hotspot (so no extreme throw) and dimmer and narrower spill than a reflector light of the same size. So it illuminates well what you point it at and not the grass at your feet, I call that useful

Not sure if this discussed: is the driver a FET+1 design? Or what else is it?

You are right, it is FET+1

Tnx. I like the simplicity and robustness of it.

yes that’s strange because the FT03 runs on a 21700 battery and only has one emitter

Hadn’t notice that…

I also just received the EA01 several hours ago. (I got 1 unit EA01 with SST40 5000k and another EA01 with XHP50.2 5700k).

I’m not able to directly measure lumens, but I checked the tailcap current when using an iJoy 4200mAh 26650 (charged to around 4.1v, so nearly full charged)
On the EA01 SST40 5000k, I measured 7.8 Amps tailcap current (UT210E), although this may still not be max power, since it’s not yet fully-charged battery.

However, when I set the EA01 with SST40 to Turbo, I notice the beam turns a bit bluish (from the slightly pinkish color when at Ramp Ceiling level). So this seems to mean the LED is driven a bit too high?

On the EA01 with XHP50.2 set to Turbo, the light works OK.

I’m guessing it’s a FET+1, since on battery-insert, the measured current is around 0.35A (NoPWM),
when I set to Stepped Mode, there is ‘fast PWM’ on all the default 7 brightness levels of Stepped Ramping
Again, also NoPWM when on Turbo mode. So this seems to match behavior of FET+1… (I’m not that well-versed in electronics, but I try to measure tailcap currents of flashlights when I’m first testing each of them)

Thank you Bombay! I am very glad to see it is quad sst40 and xhp50.

Freeme- are there any coupon codes for the MT04 on BG?

Thank you!

Good beam

Interested, can I get a code for the SST40?

Interested

Which version is this?? Awesome beam!

SST40 5000K

will the imalent 265P45 fit inside the EA01

the length is 67,4 mm

best
andy

The Keeppower 26650 4200mAh, 68.7mm, fits fine

very nice, thanks alot

best
