FREEME ✌ ASTROLUX EA01 SST40 (2300lm)/ XHP50.2 (3500lm) TIR 26650/ 26350 Flashlight Group Buy - ALIVE!

The EA01 SST40 turning bluish on high brightness occurs, while the flashlight is cooled (haven’t used it for a whole day), then insert battery and just testing it…

I’d like to confirm if this issue is only on my sample (which means, I’ll need to report to Banggood about a flashlight with issue), or it occurs for many samples of this EA01.

(I also got the EA01 XHP50.2, which doesn’t have this issue).

One other issue I encountered with the EA01 (in case someone else can confirm), since I got 1pc blue body color and 1pc gray body color.
The EA01 blue body color’s body tube will fit Shockli/Vapcell 5500mAh 26650 (just a very snug fit), but the EA01 grey body color’s body tube has a bit of trouble fitting the Shockli/Vapcell 5500mAh 26650 battery — I have to insert the Vapcell/Shockli 26650 from the head portion of the body tube, and even then, it sort of tears into the battery wrap due to the very tight fit. It doesn’t fit when I insert the 26650 from the tail portion (it probably will fit, but may tear the battery wrapper which I didn’t force into).

A just slightly slimmer 26650 battery (eg. iJoy 4200mAh 26650) will slide in nicely though, both the EA01 grey and EA01 blue.

If the LED is turning blue. Raise with Banggood, no point waiting. It is clearly defective in one way or another. Did you pay via paypal too?

It means the emitter is overheating and there’s something wrong with the thermal transfer between the emitter and the body. You can try and fiddle with that on your own but I’d just use the warranty.

So the xhp50 is ready for production?

Yes, the 4x XHP50.2 is already available: Mateminco MT04

Waw i cant resist…but why the write this thing about not usinf 21700….

Freeme- I have same question about 21700 warning? Is it the battery length? or the assumed higher amperage? Or something else?

Sorry for not being able to report here regularly for the past one week, as my body is not coping well with the cold season.

BG in-charge did not mention about "EA04". Maybe I will try to get some news from them tomorrow.

maybe the cell 21700 destroyed the sst20 leds

Thanks

Mines just turned up. Will try it outside in a bit.

Can anyone with both emitters show some beam shot comparisons please.

Interested

I ordered both the xhp 50 and sst40 versions. In my sst40 I noticed a tint shift also at the highest setting. The tint shift is less when using Keeppower 26650 5200mah vs Samsung 40T.

Beamshot comparison of the Astrolux EA01 (XHP50.2 5700k) vs the Astrolux EA01 (SST40 5000k):

(Left side is EA01 XHP50.2

right side is EA01 SST40)

As noted, there seems to be a problem with my EA01 SST40, as it shows a bluish-purplish tint shift when on high/turbo levels.

Code please! Thanks Freeme!

Unfortunately only available in blue, wondering when the rest XPH 50.2 5700K will be back in stock. Will order one for sure.

I got the XHP50.2 version and in testing with freshly charged batteries I am getting way more than 3500 lumens. I am estimating 5500 at turn on. I am hoping others will do some more accurate testing and let us know what they get.

I got nearly 6000 Lumen at start of my EA01 XHP50.2 CW powered by a 21700 Samsung 30T high drain battery …
