FREEME ✌ ASTROLUX FT02S 4*SST40 / XHP50.2 26650/21700 USB-C Flashlight Group Buy - Ended

Swapped in the SIRA20DP:

Sanded surfaces down to 2000/2500 GRIT:

Upgraded 18 AWG to 16 AWG wires:

MX-4 - little excessive for good coverage, kapton to protect larger solder joints:

Removed inner spring, added 20 AWG bypass:

Kind of surprising, did not gain much in measured tail amps, possibly 1 amp, measuring 33-34 amps on the 40T, 30T and T50. The tail bypass though made a nice difference, so I think the wires and FET mods gives the tail bypass more of a boost. It's a game of bottlenecks - improve one thing, then the next thing becomes the bottleneck.

Thanks got the info, your pony about difference in 5700 to 6500 is taken, given my 5700k ea01 seems like 6500k anyway. I have the hk04 and automatically imagined these two lights compared to each other, but ft02 definitely smaller easier to carry but with less battery performance too. Thanks Tom

So mine just arrived today. I have to say I am impressed with all the Astrolux lights I have purchased in the last year.

The SST40 5K is what I ordered with discount code. It is floody and throws far enough for my needs. I will agree with some posted a page or two back it has a bit of rings in the spill. Not a deal breaker but be aware of it as some people feel it may be a deal breaker.

This might be my walk the dogo light for a few weeks to see how well it is going to be in the long run.

I agree, they were good and have gotten better.

I have the same “problem” with after calibrated temp, and config like you 40° max. And never do throttle in both light
Have xhp and sst40 both the same problem.

Im not sure, but maybe can be for anduril version?
I want the thermal proteccion work, but for now will wait to hex file with modern anduril and try to flash. Then pray.

Any chance I can still get a code?

Mine is runnlng Anduril 2 now, so thermal reg should be ok. Boy, that sounds bad for the stock UI. Again, we really don't know what version they are using, and seems like they modified it to get rid of the breathing/flicker mode on the AUX switch LED, or maybe went back to a really old version?

Version checking (15 clicks) shows 2019 12 05. Is there any way to check other version/branch information?

Anyone know when the XHP50.2 5700k-6000k will be available?

That version # sounds ok. We really have no idea at all what they are really running unless they tell us or post what they got. I dunno - maybe China restricts or scares them in posting shared files - it's always difficult, it seems, to get them to share anything.

Now im home, version check done, Yes 2019-12-05

Wheres the motivation if they can ignore being told and do what they want without penalty?

Could you elaborate more on what you mean ?

They know the terms of the freeware usage, have even been told / reminded directly. Still do not follow the rules.

Not a new tactic. People just claim ignorance when a penalty finally comes. It’s easy p-z

Freeme-

Thanks for the coupon code, ordered the green xhp50 through your link! Shipping said “will ship before February 7th”. I thought itd be in stock at this point, but not worried it will be worth the wait!

Also- thank you to user/Richbuff- there was a post he responded to me weeks ago that I can’t remember really but that had me start considering this light. Plus he raved about it and it caught my attention. Credit where it’s due.

Since the day this light was announced i was convinced I didn’t want it. Now I can’t wait for it to come in. Wierd how that happens lol.

Interested please send code for FT02s

still not seems in stock any color combo ?

Still waiting for my order to ship out…. pre-ordered and apparently they “started” packing my items in December but I’m thinking they got abducted or got lost.

Yep, also waiting for it to ship.
Order placed on the 11th. The green SST40 5000K version.

Black sst40 5000k version appears to be in stock. It says: “In stock. Ships in 24 hours”.
While all the other options have a ‘expected’ date somewhere in first week of February.

5700k appears to be available again
