Massive post on where to get lithium-ion batteries everywhere in the world! Look at Post 2-5 for info, And Canada Post 123

hard for buyers to distinguish?
lol its impossible, i mean how can i ever know without asking here in the forum?

well reviews, compare the reviews of lucky, aliya, vapcell to reviews of other random battery stores, you will see.

Yeah, no worries.

I still order cells from them for friends(from Aliya’s store mainly), and I test them every time, and they’re always the same or better than my original cell order back from 2019.

Therefore, I still trust them.

Seems like Sofirn ships batteries to Canada (untested).

If this is true, then they would be a very inexpensive source of decent batteries for Canadians. The cells wouldn’t be your high drain D4V2 cells but they’re probably pretty decent for other mid drain lights.

I asked them about it since many other stores don’t ship to Canada and the respondent was confused at why I even asked such a question.

I ordered a pair of Shockli 5500mAh 26650s from Banggood on Dec. 5 and they showed up on Dec. 30th so pretty quick delivery considering the time of year. Funny enough, I had an Amazon order that took longer to get to me and that was entirely within Canada. :person_facepalming: Anyway, at least Banggood will ship these cells across the pond.

Really?

With Banggood, it usually seems like they can ship and can’t ship lithium-ion cells depending on the time of year. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, I think it’s dependent on what shipper BG is using. Sometimes they can ship free, sometimes they can ship but it costs extra, and sometimes they can’t ship at all. Usually, it seems they can’t ship at all.

For Canada, I prefer to order from a known company in the US, such as illumn. It’s more expensive, but it’s reliable.

I use https://18650canada.com// as my supplier .

isnt their selection so limited?

Perhaps, all depends what you are looking for, they usually have what I`m looking for hence my post.
Also I rather support a seller in my country….

Interesting, I haven’t used the Canadian company. Looks like shipping from illumn has gone up a lot since my last order, so it’s a bit more competitive to buy it in Canada now. Still more expensive (especially if you add the tax), but not super-expensive like so many other things.

Yep, lately everything has gone nuts as well as shipping rates, it seems like we always get the short end of the stick
no matter what we shop for in our country. :person_facepalming:

i get my batteries from AE, shipping fee is a LOT less than the likes of illumn, or even 18650canada

You have to make sure the store you buy from on AE is selling legit batteries, both in the past and right now. Not many do. I’ve got legit cells from AE in the past, but it’s not something I recommend unless there’s no other option.

yes, you have to pick the right stores

Skip that above post. Just checked prices again, today. $13.50 for a regular flat-top 30Q. Looks like it’s back to ridiculous Canadian pricing.

Have any Australians purchased from Ecocell? https://ecocell.com.au/
Unfortunately my favourite Aussie li-ion retailer (supersports600) seems to not be selling unprotected batteries at the moment.

I’ve been buying steadily from these guys. Had no issues, quick postage. LANplus Australia Pty Ltd | eBay Stores

Seems like something is wrong with 18650 Canada https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/mo8g6q/18650canada/

18650batterystore is pulling out of the Vapcell brand due to major quality control issues. Had a wee chat with them after my order of 159pcs K30 had 39pcs with high self discharge.

I won’t ever be buying anymore of Vapcell again
