Is the HAIII coated MX Power ML-310 worth buying?

Is the HAIII coated MX Power ML-310 worth buying?

Is the HAIII coating on it durable?

Is there any side spill?

Why isn't there a tube for a AA battery?

It says:

- Power Supply: 1 x AAA (not included), 1 x 123A Li-ion rechargeable (included)

Quite weird.

I think it is a (R)CR123 only.

Also it can be found cheaper somewhere else but not MX power branded and perhaps not HA anodized.

HA is more durable than type 1 or 2 anodizing. Most HA just barely fit the specs so they are not as tough as one may want from true well made HA.

The shop you linked to seems to suck (bad price, wrong technical details). I'm sure they are basically selling the same light as DX. Different color but I'd expect the coating to be of same quality. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.31730

It does accept AA and 16340 and it's a very nice and bright (direct drive on LiIon) light.

No. The batterytube are in two parts. Use with both: AA. Remove smal part: RCR123A

It's more expensive at gorillagadgets because the light includes a rechargeable CR123A cell and a charger, as well as being shipped from the US. If you can wait another week and don't need the battery/charger, you can save $10 elsewhere. It's not a bad light by all accounts, there's a rather old partial review floating around on the site somewhere.

Ml-310 is not HA-III coated. Otherwise, nice flashlight, copy of a Nitecore Extreme.

Has anyone purchased the MX Power ML-310 from gorillagadgets.com?

Is it really HAIII? From the picture it looks like HAIII. Are they lying?

I have 3 Surefire HAIII flashlights.

I bought it from DX, and yes, they lying, it is not HA-III.
