Throw light

Have you considered LEP lights? Also, the Firefoxes FF5 is incredible

OP, was looking for a budget option you just mentioned some of the most expensive lights in the niche. :stuck_out_tongue:

I recommend a C8+ with a W1 osram.

Oops! In that case the Emisar lights are amazing. I also dig my Nightwatch NSX3 and NSX4 for raw power

Size, throw, budget. How much for each? Otherwise we’re just flinging $#|+ at the wall.

That would count as throw?

There’s the Convoy C8+ with a 1mm white flat LED https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001973586200.html but as Mr Lightbringer correctly points out, unless we know what you’re looking for it’s going to be tricky to guide you there.

Convoy L21A with Osram and 8A driver.

Yes. You can buy it with 8A driver.
Check Simon Mao Convoy store on Aliexpress.

L21A with CULPM1 from Simon, it’s awesome!

That looks sweet! I’ve never been able to order from Ali though. For one thing this page comes up in German and I only know English

AliExpress defaults to German on my phone as well. Google can auto translate most of it but it is annoying. I have not been able to fix it. Even clicking on the link in the post above takes me straight to German.

I also like the C8+ with the osram led. I didn’t want a bigger light or battery and this one throws great for the size and price.

Maybe you should define your definition of throw, the C8 is a good thrower but the L21A throws farther.

It uses an 21700 cell it’s not compatible with 18650.

Thanks bud!

.
I favor throwers, and I will probably get this one next.

.
I like this one too !
.

I would also recommend the L21a osram. A fantastic thrower!

The 40T will give you the most power, the 50e will last longer but not as powerfull.
I use the 40T in my l21a.

I think the 40T (assuming these are genuine Samsung cells) has a much higher amperage rating than the other two, allowing a high-current circuit to produce a bit more peak lumens. With a listed max current output of 8A for the light, I don’t think you would benefit much if at all from a 35A cell, though. So I’d think one of the other, higher-capacity cells would make you happier. However, that’s a guess on my part; others may chime in who know more.

Just want to say thanks for your tip on the Manker MC12 deal! I just ordered one for $34.95 from Manker USA.
Before I read your post I almost bought it on aliexpress for $10 more, shipped from China. :frowning:

I’ve been wanting to try an NM1 light and I like the size/shape of this. I only hope I can live with the funky UI, too bad it doesn’t have the much better UI of the Manker U22 III (SBT90.2) another interesting model, but I didn’t see that one on Manker Light USA.
