Modify tn40s

I would like to modify my thrunite tn40s. I want to purchase in atleast 70.2 cree. Is there a how to video showing how to do. I want to keep same driver if possible. Thanks

Mission hardly possible and unreasonable.

You will need a custom MCPCB and different driver to use XHP70 in this light.
If the LED’s are setup in Series, then you can technically put 4 x XHP70 in parallel without changing the driver.
The light will become very floody with XHP70, and since it will be underpowered with stock driver, its really not worth the mod.

Are there any how to videos available for instruction. If not someone could make alot of money. Either putting out a downloadiable video or something on SD card, or something like that .I would definitely buy some. Thanks for the advice

As far as I know there are very very few videos about moding. However the internet and especially this forum has a huge amount of information and people are willing to share it for free. The market for flashlight moding is not big enough to make profit from videos (in my opinion). Apart from that there are hundrends of different mods and flashlight models and if someone tried to make a guide for moding it would be too general.
I can safely suppose that converting a TN40 to xhp70 is a really “rare” mod and maybe noone has done it or even publicly thought about doing it. It is not impossible but requires knowledge and tools.

Please dont take it personally or in an offensive way but if you are asking for a how to guide for a conversion of this difficulty then its better to start with something more simple.

There is an enormous amount of mods in this forum of all kinds of flashlights and even more questions/answers in them, from which you can learn everything. You will need a bit of imagination too, as I said there are so many different mods that almost every single one has it own unique requirments. You can take some ideas from the links in my signature if you like. I have made a “TN40 copy” back in 2017 which might be useful for you.

I have never seen the internals of a TN40 or have knowledge of the circuit. If it is 1s, 2s or 4s but I am pretty sure you will need a new (beefier) driver (the smallest of your problems) and you will probably need to completely leave the existing led mcpcb and use 4 individual smaller ones with the xhp70 you want. Then wire them together in 2s or 4s. You will also need centering rings for the reflectors which probaly will need to be sanded down or raised to achieve a nice focus. If the reflector holes are too small you will need to make them bigger with a rotary tool or drill. You can post some photos of the internals if you like and discuss further.

Thanks for your advice. As far as using 70.2 leds. I was just throwing it out there. It could be 50 or 35,'s.I want to modify my tn40s to the highest it can be but still be practical. I want the simplest way to atleast double lumens and candela
