Nichia NV4WB35AM

Not sure why the original link didn’t work. Should be fixed now.

Yep, works.

They’re not really good at putting the correct images with their products…
But they can be seen among their LEDs on MCPCB collection.

There’s also this option, if you want a more normal star shaped MCPCB.

Shipping to Canada starts at 19 Euros for 1 LED! Ridiculous…

I just rediscovered this emitter looking at Nichia’s site, and it seems like a very obvious XHP35 replacement. Has anybody managed to obtain one yet?

Clemence just listed it on his New website , along with new MCPCB for it, probably those two

sm4050e R9080 for me please.

by the way: the datasheet lists R9080 variants for all color ranks (2700K - 6500K)

Dammit, I just made an order and need another.

Yeah… bad timing, I wonder if he already has some and is just waiting for economy shipping to resume to start sales.

Please also be aware of the recent deadly earthquakes in Indonesia along with some volcanic activity may impact his business and the shipping logistics. I did just receive my package from him I placed on dec30, BTW.

Hope Clemence’s and his family are okay.

Nichia website now lists NV4WB35AM Crxx
http://www.nichia.co.jp/en/product/led_product_data.html?type='NV4WB35AM(Crxx)'

7500K and unrated CRI for few extra lumens.

I’m really anticipating this emitter. Hopefully clemence worked his magic and got some below BBL tints.

This is a interesting mid-size led, looking like bigger E21A. It look like the new loneoceans lume x1 driver is perfect driver for this led, hoping that we can see some new flashlight using this led and I will like to see reviews.

There’s yet another variant on Nichia website, NV4WB35AM (R9080t90).
It differs from regular CRI9080 variant in that it offers Television Lighting Consistency Index of 90min.

Thanks Agro! Just on the products page last week or so and didn’t see that. When scanning a boatload of TIR datasheets, a surprising amount of them have optical data on this emitter. I really hope the new Virence store opens soon so we can get these and the needed mcpcbs! Maybe L4P might get some as well… we should ask him.

I’m wondering how this B35AM stacks up against the 144AM sliced? I feel they’d be neck and neck, with the 144 winning the overdriving game. What do you think?

They are already available from ledrise but the price is ouch. I’m waiting for Clemence as well.

Oh, and btw. I think the Gaggione LLC25N would be AMAZING with this emitter in a SP33v3 sized light)

Hoping to be able to try out this emitter sometime when it becomes more easily available. :)

Anyone care to explain how the bins differ? For instance, what’s the difference between the three E900 bins that are all R9080, but their prefix is sm503, sm573, sm653? Is that color temperature? I think the “e900” is indicating the output bin? No help from the data sheet. Thanks, considering ordering from Virence when I can and putting in Sofirn Sd05 6v version.

Nevermind, found the answer on page 5 of this data sheet on the new high CRI options:
http://www.nichia.co.jp/specification/products/led_spec/NV4WB35AMT-E(5768D)R70%20R8000%20R9080.pdf

Anyone get one and try it out yet?

I have one of each variant (R9080) coming from ERKX. Will let you know how are they.
