Layne was a force before he burned his voice out.

Sure he was!! When a guy has better vocals on live shows that even on record, there’s something special about that!
I am not a connaisseur of their work, but in the last weeks I’ve been going through some of their songs, shows and also learning something more about them and…that guy was…great!!

This is another of my favs (not necessarily the live version only):

Adele - Make You Feel My Love
Live at Royal Albert Hall London

A lot of folks are surprised when they learn that this tune is yet another masterpiece from the pen of Bob Dylan. Kudos to Adele for putting her signature on it.

I just mowed the lawn for 6hrs and listen to three album’s. A blast from the past. The weird thing is after all these years I still know what song is coming up next must be imprinted on my brain.

XTC - Black Sea

INXS- Just Keep Walking

Flowers - Icehouse

later

In the end by mellen gi remix :sunglasses:

Happy belated Groundhog Day

The Duhks – It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)

This one came as revelation to me when I heard Sarah Dugas (formerly of The Duhks) sing it live with The Waybacks a few years ago. So I was all smiles when I found Sarah's studio version from her time with the Duhks (pronounced "Ducks"). To my ear, this is as good or better than the original recording by Bob Dylan. One of my all-time favorite Dylan covers.

Thanks to all the posters in this thread. I like to come here to listen to stuff that's just a little out of my usual wheelhouse. Keeps me on my toes.
