New Member needs help with Battery Test Readings

Make yourself at home, HowieG!

There is a link in my signature on how to post pics on BLF.

Some people seem to have trouble posting pics from Dropbox.

I clicked on your link, then right clicked on your image and chose "open in new tab", then took that image's URL and that's what I posted.

Thanks everybody for your very helpful posts! Thanks, too, to racoon city for getting my picture up. I will check out your advice on posting pictures.

I do not see an image in your post, just an empty box

Maybe Dropbox doesn't play nice with BLF?

the link in post 2 works to show the image

copy image location works to post that image here (using insert image icon):

> Are are four batteries shot?
no

> Or is #1 the only bad one?
no

the rated capacity is 2100mAh (=2.1 Ah)
the tested capacity of 2.whatever is very close

the 1713mAh = 1.713Ah, and is 19% below new capacity, it might not last as long, but it is not “shot”

That copies the exact same URL that I used to post the image, by the way.

I think you copied the image, not the image address.

they are not the same, and your post does not include the insert image tags… (The ! at begin and end of the image address)

That's because I am using the Advanced Post Editor, and the "! trick" doesn't work with the Advanced Post Editor.

Also, the "! trick" is not required for the Simple Post Editor.

Im not using a trick… I used the Insert Image icon, which has the effect of framing the link that I got with copy image location, between ! !

anyway
I respect your efforts to help the OP with image posting… I hope he figures it out… it Can be done

I am using Opera, which is similar to Chrome.

Copying image address gives you the exact same URL as my method that I described earlier (in Opera.)

It may be different for different browsers.

Okay, I didn't know that.

I thought that exclamation marks only show up if you type them.

...

Wow, this thread really got derailed.

I looked very closely at the image address you posted:

it is in no way identical to the image address I posted…

I dont know why

It does appear that your way of posting images does not use the ! marks, it uses a different code that says
<img src=

if it works for you, there is nothing wrong with doing it that way…

I hope the OP figured out whatever he needed to know

Like I said before, I'm using Advanced Post Editor and you're using Simple Post Editor.

...

Which internet browser are you using?

I agree your post editor uses different codes

also agree different browsers pull different image addresses

here is the result using Safari, for my earlier post I used Firefox (both work):

I don't have Safari, but I confirm that Firefox gives a different URL than Opera.

So I learned a couple of different things about posting images on BLF today.

@HowieG:

Since Dropbox seems to not get along with BLF so well, you might want to try a different image hosting site to post images on the forum.

me too
I did not realize there were different image address codes for different browsers, plus different image linking codes… thanks for sharing info.

dropbox does work for me, but it seems like the links are really long
and maybe Dropbox image links are browser specific, which could explain why I cant see your pic…
can you see mine?

I have been using imgur to host images, it has been working well, and I recommend it as an alternative image host option to the OP, if needed

Yep, I can see yours, and I frequently recommend imgur.com to most English-speaking people.

I use abload.de, but it's in German, so it's not that convenient until you memorize how the site works.

ok, well one link came from dropbox using safari, and the other came from dropbox using firefox

(I did not use imgur, I used the link the OP gives in post 2, and then when his image loaded, I used copy image location, and finally I used the Insert Image icon, here on BLF…)

so I still dont know why I cant see your pic in post #6.
apparently its not because of the browser you use being different than mine… but not sure

can You see Your pic in post #6?
(what a mess of a thread… lol)
