[Review] Bloody Brilliant! Mini Mag AAA LED - 100 Lumens

Not being a fan of video reviews, I admit I skipped through large portions. This is the standard cool white version, correct? I see there are some neutral maglites out now, I’m tempted to try and get one.

i bought one few years ago, and was really impressed with it, yes it is a cool white, maglite does make one with a warm led, specialty series, it is 68lm

It is just their regular LED range. Mag don’t list tint or Kelvin ratings. But yes it is on the CW side of things. Quite acceptable and nothing offensive. But not as nice as a good 4000 or 5000k LED.

Maglite do offer their “Spectrum” range of lights e.g.

Available with either coloured LEDs or in Warm White (denoted by the silver tailcap on a black body).

Output is generally a lot lower however, so I assume they are a different kind of LED entirely, not just a different tint bin, e.g. the Mini Mag AA linked above is only 57 lumens.

That said, I’ve not been able to find these in the UK. Nor in the USA willing to ship to the UK.

yes it is pretty strange their AAA warm white listed 68lm, but AA is 57.

will our eye see 100lm of warm and as many lumen of cold the same, or warm will still look dimmer despite same lumen number?
