[Review] 10,000 Lumens!!! - Lumintop FW21 Pro

I bought three FW21 Pro Vn and gave two of them to friends seven months ago; both of those and mine are all great, functioning flawlessly. Thank you for your review of this classy and classic light!

why not 10000000 lumens? those scam brands must be banned

10000 for 100ms? lmao

I am somewhat relieved I didn’t bite on a copper one now….it came VERY close!
Don’t get me wrong, it is what it is, but for what I’d have wanted it for - well it wouldn’t have been sufficient.
Very good comparison between a useful all rounder and well, a 1 trick pony really. Not only that, the pony doesn’t like walking very far lol! :stuck_out_tongue:

Since the review I’ve had a go at measuring Lumens with a lightbox.

Rather pleased that I recorded very close to the headline figure

But just look at the output after 30 seconds :open_mouth:

Make Model LED Battery Driver Optic/Reflector Mode PEAK OTF lm @ 30 sec OTF lm
Lumintop FW21 Pro XHP50.2 x 3 Samsung 30T Stock Anduril OP Turbo 9,603 935

High mode seems to work much better and a lot more stable, even well beyond 30secs. But a huge difference between Turbo and High.

Make Model LED Battery Driver Optic/Reflector Mode PEAK OTF lm @ 30 sec OTF lm
Lumintop FW21 Pro XHP50.2 x 3 Samsung 30T Stock Anduril OP High 1,380 1,351

Mine isn’t performing as well as it should be. I tried cleaning the contacts and head but it hasn’t made much difference. The cell could be degrading but I tried it in an E07 and while it performed slightly worse than a few months ago the difference wasn’t nearly as large as with this light. I want to clean the tailcap contacts but I’ve heard it can fall apart when opened. Apparently they’ve fixed the falling apart issue but some people still don’t recommend opening it. What should I do? Is there a safe way to open it?

Why does your review look like a video game

cant u just try a newer 30t or 40t to see if any difference ? perhaps the light is ok afterall.

There were problems with the first release of the FW3A but I believe it was addressed. I have 4 FW lights including the FW21 Pro and all have a retaining ring holding the tailcap parts in. I’ve removed the tailcaps on all 4 lights multiple times with no problem. If it makes you feel safer, remove the battery from the head end first, then remove the tailcap while keeping the light vertical. When reinstalling, tighten the tailcap very tight before tightening the head.

Thankyou . Nice real world review.

+1 to trying a different battery. Also, how are you measuring performance?

I’ve opened the tailcap on mine a few times. Hasn’t been an issue. The instructions tell you not too, but included in the box is a lanyard ring that replaces the pocket clip. The only way to install this is remove the tailcap……
