I have sold most of these elsewhere and only have a few adapters left. Due to lack of access to a 3D printer during virus shut down, I will not be printing more for a while.

One of the last ones I completed is a 26650 to 3D cell adapter:

If I ever get a 6D ML300, I might come up with something to run a couple 26650 specifically for a 6D but 2 of the 3D to 26650 adapters would work just as well.

I am starting to print some of these again on a limited basis.

Some of my first attempts at 3D printed adapters were intended for the old Fulton moonbeam running a Nite Ize LED drop-in.

I am thinking of making some adapters for moding incan 3 D cell Mags that would run them on two protected 26650’s without any need to do a spring mod. Does anyone here still mod Mags? I am trying to gage interest.

Maglite lantern? Mag doesn’t make one, so I 3D printed a base and a defuser to turn a ML50 into a portable lamp - should be just the thing for camping trips, power outages or anytime you need some extra light around the house or as go anywhere work light.

I set the modes to group 1 for easy access to all 3 output levels. High is really nice for lighting up a good sized room and eco mode is great for providing enough light not to walk into the coffee table or trip over the dog while running for days on end. Medium mode (I think Mag calls it low) is what I would probably use most of the time because it gives a excellent balance of light output and run time. If you prefer the ceiling bounce when inside, the base will keep your Mag pointed in the right direction – straight up.

The lantern base/defuser should come in handy on the road too - you can set it down on strobe as a warning light/flare or use it for some extra light when changing a tire and the defuser can even be used as a traffic wand.

Of course the defuser and base stand snap off anytime that you need a flashlight instead of a lantern.

The base and defuser also snap together neatly for storage and transport (there’s even a little storage space inside the defuser when snapped to the base).

I always liked lanterns, but this one has quickly become my favorite.

Cool idea; I have made some of these myself but in a more primitive way. I have one I started to design for the maglite because those huge 32650 or whatever cells are expensive and rare to find. I can make these on my printer if you ever need shoot me a PM to help you print them!

Same to you! I have been making the diffusers as well for a bunch of my lights. They work great for anyone wondering.

I think the maglite mod to lithiums are a great idea. I’m sure it would sell here and on other platforms.

I have a 9x AA zoomie, made by “Rayz” (hardware store purchase 7 years ago.) is there an adapter that could be made for the 9xAA, perhaps 18650 or 26650?

It is 3s3p I believe. The 9xAA tube is 3 sets of 3 AA’s stacked on each other. So same diameter of a 3xAA plastic holder, just 3 times as long. I can send pictures and exact measurements If someone is able to help.

I still make and sell a few of these from time to time, but interest is limited, sometimes it seems that I make more prototypes than anything.

Post the pics/dimensions if you have them - it might be doable if the Voltage is right to run on a single Li-ion. Have you run it extensively on NiMH’s? If so, it should work with a single Li-ion if it is 3S3P (some lights designed for alkalines will overheat running NiMH’s and Li-ions due to the lower IR). Very late to the party here @xxo but did you ever get anywhere on this? I’m looking to print/purchase something for a new 3D maglite I’ve just taken ownership of, but haven’t found anything that works quite right and this sounds perfect!
