OSRAM CSLNM1.TG & CULNM1.TG 1mm², CSLPM1.TG & CULPM1.TG 2mm²

Where can I find the video demos?

I know the Z1 has a unique beam based on other videos I’ve seen but I’m still interested in these emitters for different lights

The Osram videos are titled as Osram C8+ V1 & V2, to stop customers jumping on AliExpress bypassing me.

The V2 runs on a fet driver so Convoy won’t sell it under warranty

I just saw this light today. Searched BLF and there are only two mentions of it sitewide. I agree PM1 maybe makes more sense, but it still maybe the most desirable Lumintop in recent times… except it looks like a FET driver. Wonder how that’s gonna work out

EDIT: Also, hold for off UI. Well they sure do know how to eff something up don’t they.

The X1L has 8 AMCs and no FET. For whatever reason they were unable to just modify the FW21 driver accordingly and still run Anduril, and the X1L uses a different MCU that isn’t as easily reflashable.

I put a FW21 Pro driver in mine and flashed it with Anduril, using the 219C config. Much better that way, and the LED seems to handle it very well. You can get the driver from Lumintop’s AliExpress store for 8 USD.

Good pic, not sure “slightly” is the correct phrase. That Osram LED looks useless for anything other than a laser pointer!

Great info. Thanks! Wish they could get it right the first time, though.

With the FW series the only thing lumintop is getting right is their checkbooks.

Ordered some new HHL532.TK tonight. Will compare to the CSLNM1 in a Jacob A60 when they arrive

Jacob A60  ! OMG! :+1:

Jacob A60… Wow some BLF history right there.

Isn’t its reflector designed for an XRE?

Yes. It’s one of the last one’s available. It’s the Jing Ge or whatever version. Deep plastic reflector that’s very, very picky and honestly not giving the cd/mm it should. Based on frontal area, I’d expect around 300kcd. I think it’s more a reflectivity issue rather than geometry, but that’s pure speculation. I love the look and feel in hand of it though (not to mention the nostalgia). I love the aggressive knurling and the fat tailcap (which I’ve modded with a forward clicky). To focus properly it needs to have the spacer close to 2mm thick, so some non insignificant number of lumens escape to the sides. I’ve gotten a ringless beam from it though. Tight spot. Clean but large corona. Zero spill artifacts.

Yesterday I was adjusting the cslnm1 led of a Convoy S2 + that I bought a short time ago, since it was not well centered and also the height of the led with respect to the reflector was not correct. The change is impressive, the spot is now practically half and much more intense. Comparing and measuring the S2 + w1 now has more range than the M21C xhp70.2

Curious… just how fragile / delicate is the CSLNM1.TG ?

I have some older IMR26650 (orange powerizer, battery junction) cells about 3.5 years old. I have never abused them, never over charged / discharged or anything like that. I have always used them in applications less than 1C. Do you think I can FET direct drive a CSLNM1.TG in a large 26650 host like a convoy L2 with older IMR cells? It would be for short 30 second bursts only. I would not use it as a constant-ON scenario.

Depends on the current output, the cslnm1 doesnt like currents over 5A.
4,5A to 5A max!

So for example, you can limit voltage/amps by using thin long LED wires. The battery is only one part of the circuit.

The old powerizer batteries were pretty good, not weak at all. I still have a couple. The W1's are pretty low voltage so doesn't take much to hit 5+ amps.

Seems like there might be a new throw king in town, and it’s DD compatible :smiling_imp:

So are you think'n it's got better throw because the surface area is the same or smaller?

What are you using for a MCPCB?

What’s the surface area? The CULNM1 was hitting about the same lumens IIRC - and possibly higher, if I’m remembering right that someone besides L4P found a slightly higher bin

1.06mm^2 it looks like it might fit on regular xp mcpcb’s. I’m not sure about that though.
JaredM, thank you so much for sharing that data!

I need to point out that my ‘lumen’ calibration is far from concrete. I cross referenced a bunch of emitters to maukkas readings as well as a few other prominent testers and it seems within a reasonable margin of alignment. Relative values I have a high level of confidence in though.

The Boost HL aka CULNM1 may still be the king, and it has the major advantage of having a neutral thermal pad, but Osram has killed that model and I’ve never been able to source one that doesn’t come with a flashlight… These are cheap at Mouser and perform very well it seems. Centering can be done with a twisted square XM gasket or a slightly reamed circular XP one. I successfully reflowed it to an XP Noctigon the first try. Luck? Idk, not testing it lol.

For sure it’s going to be the best option for FET drivers.
