FREEME ✌ ASTROLUX EA01 SST40 (2300lm)/ XHP50.2 (3500lm) TIR 26650/ 26350 Flashlight Group Buy - ALIVE!

Interested in the SST40 version. Thanks!

Wow! I saw the sst40 mt04 on there for low $45 … I need to look harder

SST-20 only. But there is 4000K (CRI95) …

from way back post #302, I got a Mateminco MT01 w/SST-40 5000K in and should be the same as the Astrolux. I'll open it up andpost pics hoping in the next couple days.

It won’t be very interesting. Only the letters will differ …

Huh? Did someone else post pics of a EA01 tear down?

Not that I saw. Look forward to it as I have one in the pipe line.

Just posted a tear down of the Mateminco MT01 (Astrolux EA01) here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/65546. Probably will be adding to it soon.

Are the codes still available? I would like one please.

Thanks Tom E!!

Are there still codes available? Can I get one?

I would like to ask a question to the owners of Astrolux EA01 (or Mateminco MT01), who have a blue flashlight. I see that the TIR optics are transparent and have the ability to see anodizing from the inside of the head. Does this affect the light? Perhaps it was from these considerations that I ordered myself a gray one … It seems to me that some spectrum drift into a colder one is possible. Interesting in the SST-40 5000K version…

I just got in a blue EA01 XHP50.2 5700K, already had a grey MT01 SST-40 5000K. I don't think the color of the anodizing effects the beam/tint, but someone who better understands the optics would know better. The blue shell sure looks blue. I got a FT03 in blue and think they match up pretty well. I do know they use something like plumbers putty to cover up the switch hole and it's wires - not sure what that's about, but it's in both my EA01 and MT01.

Are there any differences besides the LED and the inscriptions on the case?

No. There were some QC issues with the EA01:

  • SS head had some sharp edges, actually burrs - used a rounded file to file them down, all good now. Probably would have torn up a pocket pretty good.
  • noticeable fibers and specks in the optics. Not sure where, either on the optic or MCPCB or both
  • some small amounts of what appears to be a clear glue on the outside of the tailcap. Didn't remove them yet, but not a significant issue.

Noe of those issues, or anything else noticeable was with the MT01, though it's probably just luck of the draw, doubt it's because one is Mateminco and the other Astrolux.

Благодарить. Потенциально с облегчением, потому что ко мне едет именно MT01 … :+1:

Thanks Freeme. My EA01 50.2 arrived yesterday and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. Took about 3 weeks. Does anyone see a violet colored center dot when white wall hunting from about 10 feet away?

I don’t see that in my xhp50

Huh. I only see it inside so no biggie. Was just wondering. I have been using mine at top of ramp mostly (default). 5500 Shockli goes down fast at that setting. Care to guess what lumen level 120/150 is? I don’t think you can just multiply .8 x 3500 to get a ball park and I don’t have any way to measure lumens.

That’s funny, bc I would just multiply (.8) x 3500l, it makes sense to me but I know with the driver it probably doesn’t work like that like you said.
