Preferred EDC carry method

Both holster and clip. Holster for my main edc, and clip for my small edc. I like to regularly rotate among more than a few lights. This week: FT02S 50 and D4V2 vn W2.

I like mouth hold, but recently sometimes I have something on my face, so I have been using pocket clip hold when I am wandering around in the dark.

"I told you not to wander 'round in the dark
I told you 'bout the swans that they live in the park"

Certainly by clip in my right pocket for me. And my EDCs, actually almost all my flashlights, have a lanyard to prevent them from being accidentally dropped. After a couple of drops many many years ago, I realized the importance of lanyards. :person_facepalming:

Depends on the light and what I’m doing that day…

Other - I’ll usually have my ‘EDC’ belt pouch. It has quick clips (ALICE style) so I can just grab it and chuck it on. It usually holds my TUP or E12, along with my keys, SAK, Squirt, screwdriver kit and flash drive.
I also have a TIKI as backup on the car key. The only time I tend not to have this is when wearing something smart and finely tailored, at which point everything is pocketed on suspension clips.
Finally, I keep a couple of I1R 2 EOSes clipped to zip sliders on various things.

Lanyard - I do have an old Maplins Refrakta AA on my office ID, which hangs on a lanyard.
Headstrap - In my sling I keep an LD15R on a headband, for site work and general use. I am on 24/7 emergency call-out, so I EDC it.

I voted for "Loose in pocket/bag."

Any flashlight that I EDC lives in one of my pockets.

I use the pocket clip to carry my EDC light on my belt, with a lanyard to a carabiner on the belt to make sure the light stays with me if I accidentally bump it on something and it comes unclipped.

Primary carry is a FW1A in a nylon horizontal belt sheath/pouch with a velcro closure. It is made for knives and worn on the left front. It’s very unobtrusive and allows easy access with either hand to remove or replace the light. I’ve been carrying a light that way for over four years. I’ve been through a few different ones. All have been fairly thin lightweight and fold flat without the light in it. For any one inch tube light the sheath needs to be about an inch longer than the light and around 2.75 inches wide. For the last two years my backup edc light has been the Armytek wizard carried either clipped to the left cargo pocket or sometimes the right rear pocket at the very outside edge. It’s head down with the clip flush with the tail and never really gets in the way in either of those pockets. I don’t feel it sitting down driving etc.

Depends on the light. My MH20 stays clipped to the inside of my pocket. SP32Av2 is holstered to my slingbag. If I’m rocking just some fleece jammies, A Light (whichever one might be appropriate) just gets tossed into a pocket.

Hell, if I wanna burn down the AAAs in a penlight trekking down to the basement, that might just get temporarily clipped to my teeshirt collar.

So like everything else, there ain’t Just One Answer.

Same here.

Always an IYP 365 in a shirt pocket, and a 1xAA loose in a pants pocket (currently a much modded old Fenix L1P.)

Other. Back pocket. Like the women use the cell phone.
Only all the way to the right in the right back pocket.
I carry an RovyVon Angel Eyes S300. Which is rectangular.
Can’t feel I have that way.
I use it to spook people mostly. I don’t need any light.
Miami is becoming like Vegas in light pollution.

Cheers.

Probably should have added an option for ENOC. Every Night Out Carry in jacket pocket. ENOCJP,?

Depends on occasion, I generally have a keychain light been rocking the TIKI for a bit and it works well. For a pocket light if its just a regular day etc my trusty BLF A6 with pocket clip fills the EDC roll, if I’m say going to a wedding or a function where I need to be in a suit a Lumintop IYP365 would be the carry for the day.

front right pocket

OCCASIONALLY clipped to belt loop

Clipped inside left front pocket. I'm a righty, buy use my lights left handed.

Front left pocket. I’m a righty too but but front right is reserved for something more tactical.

Same. Knife is in the right. Non dominant hand for the light.

I wear bib overalls year-round. Lumintop EDC18, clipped in left bib chest pocket.

Almost always have a Tip attached by a retractable badge lanyard to a belt loop. Often have a sc31 clipped in the right rear and something else floating around in the right front….just cuz

ht on my neck.
Initially I would use a paracord, but now I use shock cords as these turned out to be more comfortable.

Though for the past 2 weeks I EDC another light as well, clipped to my pocket. I don’t think I’ll resign from a pendant because I don’t always have pockets - but I do like the ease of taking a clipped light out.
I also tend to have a larger light, typically a compact thrower, in my backpack.

I may end up carrying 3 lights regularly…

Oh, good, so I’m not the only weirdo.
