What blade did you EDC today?

I think the next knife that I will purchase will be the Kershaw Cannonball 2061.

It currently sells for $47-$50 on most sites, and it's a 2021 knife.

(I'll wait until the price drops.)

As usual my spyderco pm2 and jetbeam II pro

Beautiful knife. I looked far and wide for this knife with the 12C27 blade steel, but I could only find it with D2. Oh well, I can deal with it because the knife is so sweet looking.

Carried this nice little guy today.

Have a few I need to get rid of if anyone is interested. The wife has concluded that the amount of incoming knives has overcome the amount of outgoing. LOL

I wonā€™t be asking anything close to new prices. PM for details if you want one or all. Iā€™d trade them all for a Mecarmy PS14 in like new condition.

Itā€™s a pretty good desing for sure. Its premium version with titanium/CF handle and S90V blade is on my wishlist too.

Dam , that is terrible walking naked everywhere.
Will anyone ship by mail blades to the Nanny state ?
No weapons of any kind ?
I suppose there is zero crime there as a result. :person_facepalming:

My first more-than 5-dollars-knife :

Boker Plus Urban Trapper G10

Dammit. Did you have to remember me that I still have to finish the Tartan-Micarta scales for my Urban Trapper?!?
Too many other projects but Iā€™ll finish them this month, or year, I promise

The BM 940 gets the most pocket time of all my knives,

and the ZL SC62w has been carried every day for the last 6 years.

living in nyc i can not carry any folding knife, fixed blades are fine, i carry cold steel double agent.

Today I got the upgrade for my beloved Ruike S11, which I carried for over a year on my keychain. Or two years? Anyway, itā€™s a fantastic little knife, but in EDC I often need more. So hereā€™s the upgrade:

Looks almost the same, feels almost the same. Sanrenmu WA 622, OEM of Ruike (and Bƶker Tech Tool) knives. Got the S11 for $25 locally back then and the WA 622 for only $18!

The scissors are not the greatest, but they work. Glad I got it - this model is discontinued and seems to be sold out now in almost all stores.

Iā€™ve tossed the idea around but I havenā€™t pulled the trigger. Maybe itā€™s time to try one.

Sanrenmu makes or has made a lot of this kind of tool. I still see a few self-branded models on their AliExpress store in addition to over a dozen models for Ruike. I donā€™t recall what steel Victorinox uses on their Swiss Army Knives but would I be right in guessing that Sanrenmuā€™s 12C27 is better?

PM2

Very nice selections.

(civilian) EDC nife upgrade for me too

Newer : the Fieldmaster

came with the standard red scales, but I changed them to some yellow ā€œplusā€ scales (which include the small ballpoint pen)

Former : the Hiker which will serve as a backup

Just do it! It doesnā€™t cost much and is worth every cent.

Most of the small S1x / WA 6xx seem to be gone, some black still available (sold as ā€œMack Walkerā€). I would have preferred a brown or even orange one, but theyā€™re gone forever. Not sure about the steel, but it should be better than Victorinox. Itā€™s a knife for light tasks and for that itā€™s more than enough.

Victorinox uses 1.4110 (also known as AISI X55CrMo14) for blade steel.

The SRM PT721 with 12C27 blade steel is also an interesting alternative to a SAK if youā€™re looking for something slim & minimalistic:

Thatā€™s riveted, isnā€™t it? Is the ā€œon saleā€ etched into the blade?!

The pivot seems adjustable, the rest is riveted.
The ā€œOn saleā€ logo on the blade is correct because I placed my order when it was on sale!
