Preferred EDC carry method

I wear bib overalls year-round. Lumintop EDC18, clipped in left bib chest pocket.

Almost always have a Tip attached by a retractable badge lanyard to a belt loop. Often have a sc31 clipped in the right rear and something else floating around in the right front….just cuz

ht on my neck.
Initially I would use a paracord, but now I use shock cords as these turned out to be more comfortable.

Though for the past 2 weeks I EDC another light as well, clipped to my pocket. I don’t think I’ll resign from a pendant because I don’t always have pockets - but I do like the ease of taking a clipped light out.
I also tend to have a larger light, typically a compact thrower, in my backpack.

I may end up carrying 3 lights regularly…

Oh, good, so I’m not the only weirdo.

No… but you are still a weirdo!! :stuck_out_tongue:

At least not for that reason, though.

Keyring. Sometimes need some light when doing a tracheotomy with my Klarus EDC scalpel.

Edit:

I noticed this omission, too. Glad you asked.

I made microcord lanyards for my i3E lights hanging from my keychains… So, I must vote for lanyards! :-)))

I voted for “other”, for the following reasons:

- Keychain: Rovyvon Aurora A8U with split ring

- Wallet (Arc Bolder): Olight i3T EOS clipped to the wallet

  • Pockets (depending on the occasion):
    a) during the day, RovyVon A23 clipped to the side pocket or the “cargo” pocket, on the left side;
    b) at night, when going for a walk with my girlfriend, Olight Warrior Mini, clipped to one of the side pockets, mostly on the right side, next to the knife (left hand is for her  ) ; if not for a walk with her, the light goes on the left too, and the right is for the knife :smiling_imp:

I voted for "Clip".

Light in left front pocket, knife in the right. Been carrying that way for the last 11 years, with 11 years being when I started carrying a flashlight every day. Have carried a knife every day since the early 90's.

I've carried the ZL SC62w every day, for the last 6 years. The SC64w above it is for backup.

The FW3A is a recent acquisition, that I've been enjoying quite a bit.

Just a good clip into my jeans.

Holster for me. I usually have the same type for my light, my multitool, also works well as a mag or baton holder. The clip, cannot be accidentally removed from the belt, and there is a swivel, with firm detents . The elastic sides of the clam-shell, have prevented everything I’ve ever placed in the holster from falling out, even when running. One of these:

They can share. Wallets don’t wear the ano either.

I don’t have a problem with it. My wallet is medium size so maybe that helps. Usually the D4 rides at the bottom of the pocket, sometimes at the side vertically. This is when I’m not working. When I’m working, a knock around light shares that pocket with my keys. Ano be damned. Wallet gets moved to another spot. Sometimes my only light is a keychain light sharing a pocket with the wallet. All depends on where and when and what I’m doing. Always in left pocket though.

I’m holster all the way. The only exception is my little Olight S1 baton, which usually gets clipped on my shirt somewhere once in a while.

I can never get pocket clipped things to stay in place. I don’t know how you lot haven’t lost all your stuff, doing it that way.
At best, I can’t get my hand in the pocket with something like a knife or torch clipped on… and at worst, whatever is clipped just pops out the instant I sit down.

Clipped Inside front pocket. Right or left depending on what I’m doing at the time. Knife rides in the opposite pocket. Small wallet or money clip is always in the right front.

Clipped to the left front pocket. Right front pocket has keys and knife on a clip.

In the messenger bag is a astrolux FT02S. Yes I use it every day this time of year. It is dark when I go from my car to the building I work in and I am really tired of dodging cars. They can see me now. :stuck_out_tongue:

Clipped to my front pocket has been my primary EDC for almost 20 years. I started with a Streamlight TL-2, now carry a ZebraLight SC64C LE.

Front left pocket, either loose or clipped depending on the flashlight and my mood :)
