Lumintop GT3 - Questions

Sorry, don’t know if i should start a new topic for asking questions about lights that I cannot find reviews or comments about when searching the BLF search thread. So if i am out of place, please let me know.

Does anyone have the Lumintop GT3?
3 x XHP70.2 leds
4 x 18650’s
looks like its anywhere from $93-$129 depending where your shopping…

Anyone own it?
what are your likes or dislikes?
Does it have a buck or boost driver?

obviously we’re not buying this light for perfect tint and color, but definitely output and smile factor.

Please let me know!

I was wondering the same thing about the leds, abd if the ones Simon has now would work!

Also, there is a YouTube video review, it’s really good, it’s just in Chinese so I don’t understand it. But the beamshots look awesome.

Also- the video review says the “updated specs from lumintop” say the throw is 725 meters. The specs on neals gadgets says 585 meters or something like that. Limintop website says 725 meters.

I’m wondering if anyone knows- did they change something with the GT3 to give it more throw between now and the release date? I don’t feel it’s been out that long.

Good video review with outdoor beam shots at ending

Those are most likely 6v xhp70.2 behind a 2S2P battery arrangement.

Yea me too. But I don’t own a d18, or mf01s so I’m torn, even the thrunite tn36 limited looks cool too… the reflectors on the gt3 look sweet though. And turbo actually hits 15k at 30 second, awesome

What’s not to like? Between my D18 and this for a hundred bucks, I’d pick this. That said, these popcan lights are really cumbersome relative to single battery lights and I frequently find myself not wanting to carry the D18 because it’s simply too heavy and my 3X xhp50.2 lights have pretty much the same perceived output.

I’m really surprised by those numbers. My Supfire M6 just has 50.2s (3V) and it will hold 6A solidly until the batteries drain. Shouldn’t this be able to sustain higher?

Thanks for this feedback, I appreciate it,

If the light gets too hot to hold then there’s something strange with the thermal path, though.

Sorry, I’m making some assumptions. Thermal configurations can be adjusted, but if you turn them up high enough eventually the light is unusable anyway because you can’t hold it.

My M6 gets uncomfortable, but not painful, after long durations (over half an hour) at 6A. With NarsilM/Anduril on the GT3, thermal configurations could still be turned up, but would it sustain 2000+ lumens without becoming too hot to hold? Depends a lot on the physical thermal path. If the shelf is thin, there won’t be much to do.

It cant keep up turbo for very long or ? that much lumens drop fast and i bet it will get very hot just after minute or two…
