I just watched a video of the FW1As beam pattern, and it looked like it would make for a good weapons light. What would it take to make this light shock proof, or is it even worth doing?

Probably not worth the effort. Light touch pressure tail switch could turn on/off as you fire the weapon. Mounting is going to be a custom job. Olight, SureFire and Streamlight make them good to go right out of the box.
I’d say it’s not worth it if it’s for anything other than a hobby application. The FW signal tube design is not ‘life-or-death’ worthy.
Something like the Olight Odin is something to look into..
I have a TLR1, but I’m always kind of having my eyes out for options. But y’all are right I was just curious.

There’s a blf member posting about using convoy C8, of course for a rifle not handgun. I can’t remember who it is though…
